Check it..

Let's say. Your broke as a joke. Ain't got no job but have some sort of talent.

I'll use myself as an example.

Lets say..I'm an average playing guitar head.

Go to your biggest city near you where tons of people walk through everyday.

Me for example would be San Francisco,CA.

Lets say I start the day off at 8am like any other work day.

I sit in front of Pier 39 in San Francisco, pull out my guitar and just start jamming my ears out. with my guitar case open for donations.

(If you didn't know San Francisco has over 5,000 tourists per day ish)

If I averaged .25 cents per 1 mins (which is very reasonable)

1 hour (60mins) X .25 = $15.00/hour.

Look at me..I'm making $15.00 per hour doing something I like to do.

Lets say I start work from 8am-6pm = 10 hours per day I'm putting in.

10hours x $15.00/hourly pay = $150.00 PER DAY!

Don't forget...That's TAX FREE! YEEE!

Lets say I work 7 days a week.

That's $1050 PER WEEK! and $4,200 a month.

My yearly income would be...$50,400/YEAR.

That's hustling 101 for ya.

(I'm pretty faded...but that's some crazy numbers)

I always deep minded when it comes to stacking chips.

Some people can make a living doing things they love to do.

(Of course my example would not include benefits or insurance of any kind..but hey. That's a steady flow)

Feel free to post your input...or FLAMAGE!:rl:

i dont think you could get .25 cents a minute unless your doing something really special.

pretend your homeless and walk around a busy intersection will get you good $$

i do tourist things whenever i go to different cities and the only people who really get constant tips are either really small children playing things, or very very interesting talents.

it can be done though with all those people. just pick the right spot. SF fisherman's wharf!

Sorta makes me wonder how much those panhandlers make in the (market district?) SF, or any other touristy area for that matter. $15/hr is very doable. might be no coincidence why there's so many of them.

I'd probably set up a stand to cook crepes or some other desserts to lure the fat tourists. might not be the most profitable, but it's about all I can think of that allows me to keep some dignity.

Basically..If you have a special talent..or can attract tourists attention. You'll be alright..

real talk.

There is this lady in San Francisco that has clothes full of leaves...Hides behind the docks on Embarcaderro and scares tourist by jumping up at them.

They get so scared...and end up tiping her.

I've sat in a restraunt and watched her for a couple hours. I gaurentee she made at least $25 within the time I was watching her.

There's a guy who does it too, near Fisherman's Wharf. We saw him before we walked by, so he didn't try it with us, but the guy walking behind us talking to his friends had no idea. Bush Man waves a branch in front of him, he jumps like 2 feet clutching his chest; we immediately hear outbreaks of laughter from people watching him ~50 feet away. I love San Fran.

I was lucky enough to visit London a few years ago.

There was this guy that was just covered in all kinds of weird dark paint. Like he was going to be one of those statue guys then got tired of painting himself and just gave up.

All he did was stand around and be a dick to everyone. It was the funniest thing ever, when you'd try to take a picture he'd hold his middle finger over his face until you tipped him. And he'd go stand beside the other performers and mimic them, he got statue people to laugh at him.

I watched him for a good 30 min while I ate lunch. He made some pretty good money.

It was mostly Americans tipping him though, I dont think British people like that kind of humor like we do or something.

Anything you can do that other people can't can make you money if you have the right group of customers in mind.
Call it a hustle, call it business, but anyone can make a little extra coin without a lot of work, the problem is making it work long term.

When I was a mechanic, I made nice extra money for not much effort at all.
The salesmen used to buy old cheap cars at auction for peanuts, then resell them for basic transportation around town.
My service manager didn't mind if I did side work so long as it was after hours and I took him out to lunch or for a few beers on me to repay the favor.
Mounting used tires, doing brake jobs, fixing vaccum and exhaust leaks, and basically making them presentable and drivable cars would net me about $100 a car, and I could usually knock out 3 a night with a lift and shop tools to use.
I gave $25.00 to the detail guy, who I subbed all of the cleaning stuff out to, which let us get more cars done.
We bought our own chemicals and made the salesmen buy hard parts, and usually came out with $200 at the end of the night, and they usually needed us about once every week or two.

I'm a cabinetmaker now, and as some may know, you can transform a kitchen by refinishing the cabinets and changing the tops.
People pay THOUSANDS for others to do this, I can knock out peeling and putting new laminate on a top and refinishing a set of older wood cabinets in about 4-5 hours if I'm not rushing and could net a few hundred profit just working after work.
Hopefully I'll have enough time to put this to action and make some extra money for drifty this fall.

Back when school was in session, i'd get my ass over to bj's wholesale club, get me a 30 piece box of m&m's, 30 piece box of twix, for an average of about 12 dollers a box. Next day, sell a candy for a doller (in high school), would sell about 30 bar's/packs a day, make my money back the first day, and use the rest for gas money and lunch money which covered all expenses to get to my real job @ john F kennedy internatioal airport :naughtyd: . I'ma give you cats some more knowledge str8 from a bay area hustler (me) check this.

Hustlin is a way of life. Everyone's gotta hustle to get on top. When some people are on top there's always haters tryin to pull em down. You gotta remember that your above them squares and you can't let them fuck up your hustle. Now when you on top. You gotta stay on top. Hustlin is what it is "Hustling" so you gotta think 3 moves ahead. It's like chess. As I mentioned before; you gotta find something that your good at and go with that. I'm personally good at selling. I've worked for several jobs and my duties were to SELL to CUSTOMERS. I came up on top at all my jobs to manager status. Why? Only because I was good at what I did. SELLING.

Now when your hustle is to SELL things..Well in all honesty you gotta keep it real with your customer. No Bullshit, no runarounds no beating behind the bush. Client tell is based on how YOU act and PERFORM at a FAST PACE and DELIVER for your customer. I got a fat client tell going...but to get a list of clients...you needa put yourself out there. Now..I aint talking about selling drugs...so don't take this post as that. but you gotta start small.Maybe a friend...show him your product...word of mouth passes...now he just told his homie...and now his homie wants in. Show the same gratitude and respect as you did and trust me it goes long ways. That's how it starts. Now I do see a few cats up on zilvia hustlin doing thier thang.

for instance : Grant. Vutony. Logan. etc.

That's just off the top of my mind...So when I say they are hustlin...don't take it as disrespect like thier taking your cash, because they are always shootin out kick deals left and right and at the same time they keep business open.

I know logan personally knows about this on the real. Sometimes you gotta drop your price low a bit so you get cats to buy...after they buy and like the product and your sale is OVER you can always bump the price...get more clients now..."and now watch the money pile up"

If you are hustlin on the street. I'd suggest you take all precaution to protect yourself by all means. Meaning a weapon to pepper spray.whatever that will make a hater flee. Now if your doing an online hustle....you got nothing to worry about other then having the other party know where you live via paypal...
but if you got a company addy. Your all set pimpin.

^But the online thing can be prevented if you do not perform BAD BUSINESS.

There's 2 type of business's. BAD AND GOOD.

Now the bad business always gets shut down EVENTUALLY.

GOOD BUSINESS KEEPS THIER DOORS OPEN YEAR AFTER YEAR.

Well fella's I gotta cut out and take care of some things. I'll be back and throw in a little more knowledge. Feel free to post up comments ya'll.

Vision Garage: Now I aint saing I got stacks in the bank...but I got enough to get by for awhile. I try my best to deal with CASH only, because as most of you know...Banks are QUICK to take your shit...but they have a slow process of giving your shit back. I'd rather keep track of my own cash then have someone else work it.

Norcal black 240: Buying and selling cars is one of my main ways of earning a "paycheck" a week. Go to a used car lot, new, or even a public auction. Buy it "FLIP" it.(thats what I call it)
Last year I sold 26 CARS and 3 MOTORCYCLES...That's a good way to stay on top. However there is a downside to that aswell. As mentioned before there is Good Business and BAD business. Good business would mean you would need to fix all the repairs needed on the car, get everything together/smogged/registered and have an ACTUAL PINK SLIP WITH YOUR NAME ON IT, and sell the car. Bad business consists of the opposite of those things.

See I got my hustle down so good that...IF you were to shoot me $500 CASH. by the end of the month I GUARANTEE you I can get you 1-1.5k BACK in your pocket. However I will never do this with anyone unless they are family by sangre(blood). Money is the root of all EVIL. I've lost plently of friends because of money, some are even 6ft. under. R.I.P. There are cats out there making drops for 10-20-30-100k A DAY. But thats for the high rollers and way outta my class.

IF you know me personally you would know the outlook I have on life. It's all just a monopoly game to me fellas. We all work our entire lives to make a paycheck just to put food on the table, and keep a roof over our head, bills WILL always come and slap us in the face during the roughest times. Some may fall some may prevail thoughout these obstacles. but in the end. We all die...and honestly were just paying off the debt of our goverment. Another life gone...another life born. That's all it is. That's why we need to make the most outta what we got, and make more of that cards were dealt.

Just to clarify. Working a job is hustlin too. Never forget that. So if your one of the billions out there living paycheck to paycheck I respect that.
Because your still alive and making it. Ya heard? I've been there plenty of times...Just keep doing what your doing with all your best and breaks do come.

I'm Atheist...but pray...I'd assume it helps people stay on track.

norcal_black240

Be careful with real estate however...you needa be real smart. The economy is always up..and always down. You gotta know when to buy and when to sell.

I personally believe TELECOMMUNICATIONS is a more steady bet than real estate.

Everyday people are on phones, internet, cell phones, computer, television. It's just a great thing to invest in, and I have never seen telecommunications plummet.

real talk.

There is this lady in San Francisco that has clothes full of leaves...Hides behind the docks on Embarcaderro and scares tourist by jumping up at them.

They get so scared...and end up tiping her.

There was a guy in Hiroshima named "taro". This guy used the same tatics but he didnt intentionally scare people. He would just make gillie suits out of damn near anything and sit still on a corner. (trash bags, mulitiple stuffed animals etc) I caught him on stuffed animal day and he scarred the shit out of me. I doubt this would work in other cities the lady would be the brakes beat off her for scaring people.

Generally I don't tip the homeless cause I think alot of them just faking it.
Most of the homeless Iv'e encounter have

A. Had a healthy, clean pet
B. Clean clothes, and acceptable appearance.

For awhile I was a CPR instructor for the AHA and Red Cross. My friend use to teach civilians the same class as the military on the weekends for around 20 dollars head. Easy money but my time was more important so I never tried it.

In frisco me and my buddy bought this homeless guy a meal. I think he was probably one of the coolest homeless people I have ever encountered. He didn't want money he just wanted food, so i think he was sincerely just broke, down on his luck severely, and fucking hungry. He had recently lost 3 fingers in a biking accident or something, still had the bloody bandages on. He carried a teddy bear on his back pack and had two drum sticks. He was so crushed he might not be able to make beats anymore.

I felt bad. Being a drummer, if I lost fingers I would flip nuts.

I rarely ever give homeless people change. To me, they better be doing something to earn what they're asking for.

If I give them anything, I'll offer to buy them a taco or a $1 cheeseburger or something, only about half the time they accept. If they don't, then I know they're not homeless- they're crack fiends.

One day, I went to Rite-Aid, and there was this homeless guy sitting by the entrance, asking for change. He seemed pretty healthy, he had meth-face though. I said no.

When I came out, there was this little old lady digging through the trash looking for cans and bottles. I walked over to her and gave her $10, and meth-face saw this. He tried to get an attitude, saying, "Why you give her money and she didn't even ask you for it."

I looked him straight in the eye and said, "She's trying to make her own money, and she's old as hell. You look healthy as fuck and you're sitting out here begging for a handout. If you want something in life, you gotta work for it like everyone else."

He started with his crackhead tirade, and I just got in the car and left.

God helps those who help themselves.

Side hustles for fun and profit.

I've definitely had a few. I was shipping huge crates of Japanese videogames to the States in High School and selling them to people who collect that sort of thing. AV Famicoms, PC Engine CD games, shit like that.

I've got a pretty good job now, but who doesn't still like to make a little scratch on the side now and then? Nowadays I flip cars, which I like to think I've gotten pretty good at.

I bought a 90 Miata with a hardtop for $1600 a couple of weeks ago, had to get a new battery for it (NA6 batteries are spendy), which cost $100. Cost me about $100 to title it (I always retitle, I like to keep it legal). All told, I had about $1800 in the car, total.

I sold the car itself for $2100 on Monday, and I've got a guy coming tonight to get the hardtop for $850.

$2950 - $1800 = $1150 profit

Not bad for maybe 3 hours of actual time spent. I do 4-5 cars a year, I can do 5 at the max without needing a dealer's license (which I used to have, but it got too expensive and I didn't have the time to fully utilize it).

Most I've made on a single car was like $7,200, lol. That shit was awesome, it was an F350 I got at a county sheriff's auction.

I work a 9-5, extremely relaxed, get paid really good money for the area I live in, sitting on my ass, and I still wish sometimes I was out mowing lawns or something. This gets pretty dull. :(

I rarely ever give homeless people change. To me, they better be doing something to earn what they're asking for.

I rarely do as well. Usually they're hanging out in the middle of the day, walking around, begging for money. If you're physically well enough to walk around in the daytime and ask people for cash, you're well enough to walk your ass into Wal-mart and ask for an application.

One time though, I had just come off the interstate and came up to the light on the off-ramp, and there was this guy standing in the grass with the cardboard "homeless, need food/money" sign. This was at ~11:30PM. He looked ROUGH. I don't know what he'd been doing all day, but it was pretty obvious that he was either going to stand there all night, or go walk behind the bushes a few feet away and go to sleep in the dirt. I gave him some money.

This is sooo good! I just fed a homeless family of 5 yesterday on the way to see my gf. He asked for money but I said no cause I dont support giving money for drugs and booze to homeless. But he said he had 4 kids and he was trying to feed them. I saw them on the corner of the store so i bought like 15 cheeseburgers and got them all something to drink.

He was driving an ~'01 Hyundai SUV of some sort.
I was driving a beat-up '88 Celica hatch POS.

Pretty sure he said he's a construction worker?...

I just don't see the need to call it hustlin'.

I'm short on cash sometimes, so I go through my mountain of car parts and decide to get rid of what I don't need. I don't call myself a hustler tho.

Must be some sort of language barrier.

Hustling to me, like I've always heard down here in grimy-ass NC, where every unemployed motherfucker says they're a hustler, is getting your money from every side
Like, you've got multiple fingers in multiple pots, maybe in addition to a 9-5, maybe not.
You can work a 9-5, and do the backyard used car game, and maybe sell some parts, and maybe do a DJ gig, and maybe help someone out with a weekend quick and dirty remodeling job, but it means always having your feelers out for a way to make some extra cash.

You can be on your hustle at a 9-5 just the same.
Let's say you work at a store selling cellphones.
You can go into work and do what you are asked, make your boss happy, meet your quota and leave (doing your job)
Or you can go in, bust ass to get heads in the store, pay an unemployed buddy a 20 or something to put out a bunch of flyers, and work your dealmaking skills like there is no tomorrow.
Go past what you have to do to make yourself that extra commission and try to get a promotion out of it.
Or use contacts that you make at work to start selling unlocked phones on craigslist.
Or buy huge boxlots of used offlease blackberries on ebay, and sell them on craigslist after unlocking them, then get people to come into your work and get service for them, you get paid 2 ways AND sell more stuff for your boss, which could do well for you.

It's just about doing whatever you can to get the most money you can with what you have to work with.

Sounds to me like there's an element of breaking the rules in hustling.

What about people who make a lot of money without breaking the rules? What do you call them? The Man?

Actually that doesn't make any sense. Doesn't the Man make the rules?
