Im looking to bump up the rpms on my sr20 becuase im running a reallllllly laggy t67.l... i know you need new guides and shims cut to spec for the cams you are running, but my question is how hard was the install?? how high can i rev the sr with the stock bottum end? is it worth it, or should i just step down to a gt35R?
thanks!

Install is like removing and replacing them "pull out drop in"
They are just a heavier/solid HLA
the shims you can get a "shim test kit" from RHDJapan
but you just mesure them to the appropriate height and drop in the new shims
Not hard just time consuming
RPMS depend on your set up, Ive heard 9K +
But you definatly need to upgarde the Valve train, (if you havent already) Valve Srings, retainers, I go ahead and drop in some BC SS Valves while your at it to help avoid Valve float
But it is still possible (RARE) to throw a shim on Solids Lifters
My buddies Pulsar GTI-R threw a shim on his no biggie just pulled the pieces out and slapped a new one in N/P since

it all depends on wht kind of SLAs you want to use.
i run solids that are modded oem HLAs we use stackable shims inside the lifter.
much easier than shimming at the valve.
and you dont have to replace your guides...
