It was waaaaay hot. Friday night it poured hard w/ rain so the next day it was humid, but it was a lot cooler than the day before. Weirdest weather we've been having this past week. I'm glad it is almost over.

JD drivers/instructors are all down to Earth, really cool people, I still find it surreal to see people we know right there on alongside the seasoned drivers at FD. Hope you enjoyed the photos!

hey peas what kind of camer/lense do you use? and did you have a media pass or something? these pics r great.

I was shooting for a local publication therefore acquired media access. Apply for a media credentials at least 2 weeks ahead of time, you should be able to acquire your own. If you were shooting there from the bleachers or wherever, don't think the box area in the middle of the track was a great spot, it wasn't. The barriers were always in the way. There was a great spot near the parking lot at the southwest side of the track where you can shoot pretty much just a few feet from the designated media area where there's no fences in the way.

I use Canon lenses and bodies. Thanks for viewing and asking!

Yeah I believe it is painted white, can't be so sure though, Bomac painted his white, I figured Henry did too. Looked new though, then again fresh paint always looks new, haha.

Not any I don't think. There were amateurs and professionals alike around.
In their standpoint its good free publicity so they have nothing to lose by allowing you to have media credentials. So shoot away!
