There is really nothing to it as long as you have all the required parts its all common sense no accuracy needed. www.heavythrottle.com (http://www.heavythrottle.com) is descent though

Add all of the guides to your favorites and read them all. Take a little from each of them b/c it seems like some have alot of info on the r&r, some have alot of info on whats needed to make it work, some deal with the lower harness, etc, etc.

I see alot of scattered writeups. I wonder if we should compile everything and rewrite it. Im getting ready to do a swap and could use a for certain guide

If you're able to attempt it and feel confident doing it, you don't need a writeup, guide, or any instructions. It's really that simple. Remove the auto parts, install the manual parts. It's nothing but common sense if you have the mechanical skill to do it.

are all the 5 speed parts from a sohc s13 compatible with a dohc s13? of course the ecu is different but is everything else the same?

I thought you said you read up on this? Yes, the parts are interchangeable. Just be sure to buy a clutch kit or if just the throwout bearing for an SOHC, not a DOHC. It's really a straight forward swap.

If you want you can PM me and I'll answer some questions you may have on it.
