It's ebay. Go custom, or get a name brand. Egay sucks... If you care any whatsoever about the cash you're spending or you're motor... avoid ebay stuff.

An ebay turbo will last you about half way to work. Don't cheap out if you like having a car that can make it both ways.
I'm exaggerating but you get the idea

I've read a few threads about those ebay kits. Basically you get what you pay for. Do you really want to go the cheapo way with your engine? You will hear stories of those kits being great, you will hear stories about the turbo breaking, or the manifold failing. Your best bet is to piece together your own kit. It will be cheaper than a quality kit, and it will be a hell of alot more reliabe than an ebay kit.

Ok buddy I rarely and I mean RARELY DO I LIKE TO POST BUT I WILL MAKE A EXCEPTION ON THIS THREAD.
Honesty not to brake your balls or anything like that (just trying to help you out), if your boy is telling you to get a ebay turbo then he does not know too much and you should stop listening to him asap, reason being is that you might as well go to your bank account and burn your money because chances are that EBAY turbo will hurt you in so many ways that purchasing is just simple suicide ESPECIALLY on something as a turbo which is a very demanding and sophisticated piece of work. The smart thing to do is just do your research and do it well, I understand that something as a turbo is expensive but most of this stuff are expensive for a reason not just because the manufactures want too (though greddy and tein find them selves doing this). I do a lot of work on my ebay store and there is a alot of crap out there but there are some genuine stuff out there that you have to look out for.
EX. I get shit for not moding my car for the month I have had since I am saving up my money for something bigger stuff and the maintenance that I deal with, it is for the fact that some one is comparing me to some girl, her honda and the goddamn piece of shit lowering springs that she bought for $150-175 I choose to wait for the simple fact I prefer $1500-1750 coil overs which will benefit me in so many ways then to limit and kill off my budget on such small stuff.
Be willing to spend good money or have a great deal of patience doing this, if not then dont bother geting into this hobby or sport, you wont spend a couple hundred dollars on a medical surgery ...so dont do the same to your car. IN OTHER WORDS DONT HALF ASS IT.

Bigger injectors, fuel pump and proper tuning will do you wonders on a healthy stock KA bottom end...

Let me start by saying I don't think cheap noname ebay turbo "kits" are a good idea. I've heard tons of bad things about them. That being said, I have used them on honda's with decent results. Everyone always bashes the ebay "kits" but how many of you have tried it? When I was younger I had a 95 integra gsr. A friend of mine also had a gsr. We both put together turbo kits using noname parts off ebay. My buddy blew his motor after a few weeks, but he had no idea how much boost he was running (no boost gauge) and also used an 8:1 FMU. My car was a little faster than his (could have just been the driver). I beat the crap out of the car daily and it never failed on me. I had it for a few months before I sold it and as far as I know the guy who bought it hasn't had any problems with it. I ran an uberdata basemap, so basically the car was not tuned (which I highly don't recommend). I had a wideband so I knew it was pretty safe, but still not a good idea. Both our cheap BOV's leaked. The turbo and wastegate seemed to be pretty good copies. I didn't get any leaks or blown seals. I also want to add that this was not my daily driver and I didn't care if it blew up.
So here is my suggestion for you: build your own kit. Use a name brand turbo, bov, and wastegate. If you get a cheap manifold, just be prepared for it to crack and need to be welded or replaced. Or just by a quality manifold. I would have a custom downpipe made. It's not that expensive and if a good shop does it it will actually fit. If you have to cheap out on something a noname intercooler and piping would be it. Or you can find a used fmic from an evo for less than a new noname one.
If you're worried about money I wouldn't recommend a custom turbo kit, but if you must you can always get used parts. You're gonna use them anyway so as long as they still work, get used stuff.
The most important part is a good tune, especially on a custom set up. You can go with a chipped ecu or a piggy back, but I suggest stand alone for a custom set up.
That was a long post, but basically you can take a chance with cheap stuff and maybe get lucky like I did. Or it could make your life miserable.

Don't know about the whole kit but I ran a ebay bottom mount mani with an sr t28 on my ka-t for about 1.5 years. It was fine. Never cracked, leaked or anything. Now I have an ebay topmount with an ebay turbo. Still has not given me problems for a couple months now. I guess I'll have to wait. And oh yeah, I run an ebay FMIC kit. But everything else like the bov, wastegate, and all the other stuff is brand name.

Personally I wouldn't get an ebay turbo either. Rather not risk it.
But from the looks of the replies you should have asked if anyone has any experience with these kits.

I have news for all of you swinging on full-race nuts. Those manifolds break too. The only difference is those have lifetime warranties. The point is, anything will break when abused enough, what you want to do if find a manufacturer that will stand behind their product, which isn't XSpower on ebay. But with that said, you also don't have to go out and buy the most expensive parts out there because you will get rep points for it on zilvia. Companies like www.straightlinespecialties.com make in house manifolds that have the same warranty as full-race, with the same quality, for around 30% less. Buying stuff on ebay isn't always bad, just buying cheap stuff on ebay is bad. I bought my Tial BOV there at a good deal, as well as some of my vibrant piping Jbends for my fab work. You just have to use ebay for exactly what it should be, a place for you to take advantage of other people selling things they couldn't use. Just be smart with it, if someone is selling a brand new GT35R on ebay for $500 then of course buy it, but it someone has 50 kits on ebay with turbo, BOV, FMIC and piping for less then that just use your cranial pudding a bit and realize what you are really getting for that.

ebay intercoolers are ok. Turbo's suck real bad, except for obx ones. A friend bought a OBX T04 (67mm) it lasted a few months then started smoking. He tore it down and rebuilt it with garrett components and its still kickin today
