Has anybody ever owned a HKS SILENT HiPower?
http://hksusa.com/products/?id=3556
On the HKS site they only sell it in the special order section for the SR20

Theres also a sound clip on the Japanese HKS site

I see that its a 75MM exhaust. And im on a stock KA24 right now.
My question is:
would this 75MM "Silent" exhaust be louder or quieter than
the 65MM "REGULAR" HiPower for the US NA-KA24
They say it has a silencer built into the muffler or something

i have the silent hi power... it's 3" which goes into a 2,5" silencer in the rear muffler before the tip.
i'm running the SR20 one and it's pretty silent...i mean like, way too silent for my taste, but had to put it on to get the car street legal (the german TUV is very anal about exhaust noise).
does the KA hi-power (non silent) have 2 silencers like the Hi-Power silent? if so i would say that the KA one would be the more quiet one.

NA KAs are a lot louder than SRs...
Even though it is a "quiet" exhaust, I know it will still make enough noise to get you noticed and/or ticketed...
I used to run a WRX muffler with custom 80mm piping back in the day on the street with my T3/T4 SR and it sounded exactly like stock... Then at the track I would swap it for my RSR catback...

Piping size should tell you a lot about how loud/quiet an exhaust will be. If you are going to stay with an all-motor KA, get the 65mm HiPower, and it will be super quiet. If you plan on going forced induction, and what to stay quiet, then get the 75mm Hipower Silent. If you put the 75mm on your all-motor KA, you will rob your engine of some low end torque, but you will gain it back in the top end.

for my coupe, i picked up a used silent hi power from the local motor shop, it was off an sti, i just had the kid i know at the muffler shop cut out the resonator and re-route the centrer section....and delete the cat, so its bolted straight to the downpipe..its wicked quiet just cruisin around, but it comes alive and has a unique tone once you hit about 4k.!.
