I Kitted da bitch. she's a 80cc MONSTA! hahaha (was 49cc, kit adds 10mph)
geared it. 1 tooth up in front sprocket. I have 2 smaller gears for the rear, but I am 230 lbs so they are abit rough on hills. LOL! The gear combo now does about 45mph, the middle size gear I have, I did 54 mph. smallest gear would be unusable for my FAT ASS! but a 125 person could easily get 60+mph!
I have a new intake manifold and carb 20mm deltoro but jets are HUGE! need to order like 20 jets so I can tune her...

HORRILBLE BRAKES! see the wire on rear just random. thats my rear brake release. get stuck so bad I dont ever use UNLESS! It needs to be used. even then it useless at 40! disc brakes coming soon.
Pedals have been tossed. I run start it and just use pegs I welded on.

I cut stock shit up and welded PROCIRCUIT pipe on...that was nice sounding and added some power...

not much real info... I kinda went nutty. I do that with alot of stuff...
but my advice.
pipe. FOR SURE its a 2 stroke, it will add power and performance. ebay has em cheap! that what I think i have, I got it from some moped shop in jerzee but they robbed me on the carb, it was $99 the charged me $139 and ripped tag of bag...lol...losers. they also never shipped a air filter...I called they suck.
so I dunno really.

GEARS!!!!!! if you light kid, aka under like 150ish or in ballpark. go BIG up front and Small in back. you gain mad speed. top end. ALOT to be had here...just finding your "sweet spot" is tough.
jetting, some go up and some go down! after mods! really. so get a vary sizes of jets...I added kit and it called for the carb I had on 49cc and same size jet fyi.
and a sweet set of moped glasses, like us miltary glasses if you can find em!
take a pic of your rear wheel. I have some gears you can try out if ya want, I will need to see if they would work?
also, they make 90cc kits now! I found out 2 days after I got my 80.

I am a self admitted LAZY AMERICAN! 29 yrs old. built houses for 12 years. so my body isnt 100%, and its fine.
I run NOT jog, for about 15 feet? I jump my fat ass up in the air, and land on seat...as soon as I land my body wieght and I "clutch kick start it" and works 1st time every time...I seen pedals as I HAZARD. I kinda like to RIDE HARD?! if you will, when I knee tap the ground the pedals would SCARE THE FUCK OUTTA ME! I remember bailing as a kid...I cant take hits like that no more...:bigok: plus it looks much more "?ballin?" without pedals. I guess I always wanted one, and knew how it was gonna look. for about 10 years I wanted to build one...now gas prices allowed me too.
I wish I did it sooner. so much fun.

also . kit removes MPG in half at least...gas mileage gets worse, but being able to stay with traffice is a bonus, no cars push me aside now. I ride in middle of lane. pinned 43 mph EVERYWHERE> 30 mph I do 43! let a cop pull me over on a ped. :angel:

I am taking them off a pit bike I got from pep boys years ago...
I was even gonna mod brakes from a mT bike. you know the kind that have a wire in middle and pulls up and then the 2 sides squeeze rim?
You have to weld a piece to bike to bolt on caliper thingy...
if you have a good imgination, you can make a pretty sweet ped. a welder helps too! but lucky enough must people would BEG you to play DOCTOR on it...I know if you came to me and asked me to help you build it...I would be honored. I love cutting shit up and playing mad scientist...lol...

make a top tank it is so easy, just find a ped with a tube chasis and weld a top bar ont the frame, weld on brackets, and your good to go... the malaguti had a dalin motor on it (chinese) it had stock internals, it was up jetted, had a bi turbo exhuast and had an msd coil pack.. 50 is a little over zealous... i could go 50 on a straight street with the wind at my back, but in the city through turns it stayed around 35

Picked up a moped off ebay today. its a MINT 1980 Peugeot 102 SP.
it has been sitting years and years in a basement of the guys parents.
he got it running, changed some things to make it run and now its all et.

i've figured out it cost 19 bucks for new plates and all that so im set.

anyone know the aftermarket support for this? i wouldnt mind making this an 80cc, but everyhing i see is for a Peugeot 103. i wonder if they are the same.

I have a yellow 1977 Puch Pinto that that searched for like a year to find and a 1982 Puch Newport II that I got for my girlfriend as a gift.

The Pinto was bone stock when I got it (and mint) and now is 70cc athena kitted with case match and porting blahblahblah. Still need to tune it better but it does 40mph at like a 1/4 throttle. It'll pull crazy hard from 40 with full throttle but then it runs out of fuel and dies in like 3 seconds, maybe a clog in a filter or something. Idk.

The Newport was also stock when I got it and is THE BEST condition moped I have ever seen. Looks brand new. Put a pipe and an intake on it and upjetted to 68 and it freaking rips. Its a ZA so it's two speed. Can pop wheelies and if you lean back and balance ride em out for a good ten feet. Tops out early at like 35mph because of the gears. My girl only weights 100lbs so I will change the fearing and flip the first gear clutch and hopefully get 45mph out of a stock motor!

I guess I also own a Peugeot 103 too because I picked one up for my buddy and he hasn't paid me still. It needs some love but it's super fun and variators are awesome
