ok i own a 92 coupe with a rb25det
today driving home my car just died while driving. luckily i was able to get into a parking lot but as i stop i realize smoke coming from my engine, so i quickly jump out to see why.
i open up my hood and see a small fire right next to the coolant tank. i tell my gf to run and go find a fire extinguisher while im trying to pu t it out with the shirt off my back(a very cool d1 staff shirt that i got for working at irwindale).
i got the fire out and it looks like the fire started from inside my wire harness that was connected to my positive battery and i think my alternator. i will get pics up ASAP.
here is my question anyone know how much it might cost? anyone know a good shop to go to in so cal? and maybe if this might be a different problem?
