i was wondering if i change the SR20DET into my car, would i need to change the guage cluster?
if so how would that work? say i get a S15 SR20DET, the cluster looks different.....

i've been told the speedometer doesn't matter... just turn of the TSG

as for the tach, get an aftermarket one... the SR20 redlines at 7k, whereas the KA24 redlines at 6500?
swap in a new tach to avoid hitting rev limiter if it gets to that. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

If you have sohc KA, you tach will not work with an SR. &nbsp;Otherwise, you just have to get used to seeing red b/f you shift.

i remember seeing a website that would sell the japanese configured HUD (don't know the proper term) where it has the adjusted redline, speedometer gauge reads a bit higher and some other stuff i think...if anyone knows where to get it....could you post the link???

The HUD is nice. Unfortunatly it requires a BUNCH of rewireing. A guy I know checked it out and they told him that rewireing alone would push $1g.

My SR tranny doesn't have a speed sensor on the tranny. &nbsp;Anybody have any ideas on what I should do. &nbsp;I was thinking of making a circuit that would use one of the ABS wheel sensors signals, and shaping it into something that the speedometer would recognize. &nbsp;Anybody ever done this?

upgrading to the HUD cluster involves no rewireing...just get the hud cluster and get the harness that comes with it ...it plugs right in
