i wanted to know if this device actually works. i have a 2 way pager alarm but since my cuzin got his honda stolen at our job( we chased him down in the mall parking lot, but lost him, later on ditch the car in one of the parking structure). it kinda got me worried about my baby. also thinking of a fuel kill switch

AUTOLOCK will definitely work... most of my boys run the autolock with an alarm.... cant be too cautious

i seen an AD awhile ago for the autolock's lock being shot with a shotgun and still was able to be open with the key after. i wonder if its true

you mean this?

http://www.amazon.com/Lawman-The-UNBREAKABLE-AutoLock-PRO/dp/B0007ZFTHW/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1215626100&sr=8-1

I've used that..

Shooting a shotgun in the car to break the lock? Sounds stupid, you might as well tow it...or shoot the driver lol

i used to have one, dont even remember what i did with it....oh THATS right, someone broke off my clutch pedal with this attached to it when they stole my car a couple years back...havnt seen it since

biggest piece of shit ever

low-jack or nothing, because if they want your car, they're gonna get it one way or another

I have that pedal lock with a two way pager alarm and it gives me the peace of mind i need when im in a place where i think my car might be in danger. IMO I truly think it works, lets say worst case scenario, someone gets in the car. depending where it's parked. with the pedal locked on they don't have enough time from when the alarm goes off and try figuring out how the hell they are going to take that off. i'd say it's a really good investment in protecting your car.

2-way pager + garage, blocked by my TSX = piece of mind :keke:

that, and i never drive my car anywhere, just to work and to the track...the greatest piece of mind was getting another car

you can hide the phone under/in the seat, install a power inverter that converts 12v into 144? (i forget the standard outlet voltage)....hook all that up, and plug the phone into that

power inverter + home charger = phone constantly on

I'm gonna pick one of these up. It's better having this than not... with my AutoPage alarm and this... it should give me some peace of mind.

Buy line lock and lock up all 4 wheels when park and hide the release switch. Even if someone tow it, there might be tire tracks leading to that person who stole it.

But low jack is better though.

sr20? dont mount your ignitor chip and just yank it out
I used to do that all the time, but it opens you up to people who see you pop ur hood in a parking lot... lol

ive seen people wire the ignitor into the glove box. Along with the fuel pump fuse and starter fuse

1. 75% of the people on here will only dish out money for NRG quick release, which means ANYONE with a NRG quick release can put their steering wheel on your hub, and drive off

2. even if you DO dish out the money for a "unique" quick release, all they have to do is get an allen wrench, take off the quick release, remove the hub with a socket, and put on an OEM steering wheel

.....bottom line, no matter what you do, if they want it that bad, it'll get towed...so in that case, low/jack is the best weapon against it, and even then its not gonna keep them from taking it, it will just tell you where it is

i had a steering wheel club back in teh day.. and i forgot the key to it when i parked at a friends, we just took a handsaw and withen a few minutes cut the club off lmao

^^on the infomercial for that clutch pedal lock, they showed how ineffective "The Club" is...a "reformed car thief" took bolt cutters, cut the steering wheel, bent it, and slid the club to the side and took it off (20 seconds to do)

Since I dont have a garage, I have a parking spot so I wrap two 1200mm heavy duty as FUCK chains around the stationary objects around me. I then thread the chains into my subframe/wheels then connect both in a cinder block, and thats no including my quick release, shaved doors, unbreakble windows, expensive alarm, lojack, linelock, BOOBY TRAPS ( YES, If you touch the wrong thing in my car or reach undersomething your going to be bleeding regardless ) , rim locks, license plate locks, hood locks, engraving on all of my major engine parts, and even the exhaust, and reinforced armored steering column. Im lucky since you cant fit a tow truck where I live, and I pull out parts that make my car not work every time I sleep. I sleep with the pager next to my head so once I hear that little buzz my shotty is in my hand out the door.

im paranoid and waiting for a theif to come my way so I can let out agression.

I have a Viper 2-way alarm, Alpha lock (type that looks like a boot that goes on the wheels) and a quick release. For piece of mind I block the car in every night also. Like stated before you can never be too cautious. For the brave that do attempt to bypass all that, if I hear the alarm I have my home protection unit..cough..9mm..cough.

I've just got an FIA kill switch/battery isolator wired into the cabin [I HAVE to have one for our regulations anyway] which I remove the key from when I park. Most car thiefs don't carry spare isolator keys with them.

I heard the lojack uses cell phone towers to triangulate the position which is not reliable in parts of the area. I would suggest getting some kind of GPS tracking. This is what I will be doing when I get to it. My previous car had a NRG QR with the lock, I also had an autolock on each of my pedals (clutch, brake and gas). I also took out my ECU and ignitor.

I use an autolock. It works.

Tow my car?

If the shit is too low, they will take quite some time.

these are near worthless. so easy to bypass. so easier i shouldnt even have to mention how.

Nobody said it was impossible to seal a car that was equip with one.

All the anti theft devices are ment for is to lower the chances of someone wanting your car.
