yes they do make a T55 turbo, but this would be entirely too big for your car, from what i understand it is bigger that a t-67

Any turbo can be good for a KA :). You just gotta make sure you back it up with the right internals for enough boost, you gotta make sure that the turbine will fit with the manifold you're using, and the piping you have, and you're all set. You'll probably have to get most of your things customized (manifold, piping...) just so that it clears the hood and all other components you have.
I would go for it... speed's your friend.

depending on the turbine specs, it should be a good turbo for high end power for the KA.
I can't remember exactly but i think the t55 has very similar characteristics as the t60 series and t4 series.
if you think about, we got a mustang 5.0L running twin turbo setup around here with t55's and that thing is insane. so one turbo on a 2.4L should be okay. you may want check the specs of the turbo and post them here, this way we can give you a rough general estimate on lag and power band.

"The T55 is quite a bit bigger turbo than the T51, probably good for around 900 rwhp on the turbo alone, but quite a bit laggier too, I wouldn't really consider this a streetable turbo, it should probably be for the track only, like some of the other big turbos, although its not QUITE as laggy as the biggest T88. You will need built internals, cams, fuel, etc... to do this correctly."

But I heard DSM's can Run 12's with very little mods... so not rilly that impressive. (16G turbos, run 12.5 sec on a DSM)

So you got a Fastrax T55 turbo for 250 dollars?!?!? thats an insane deal considering how pricey fastrax turbos can be. I'd sel it on ebay and buy myself a Turbonetics T62-1.
