1993 SE KA Coupe
Help! Recently been having intermittent headlights.... they come up ok, and eveything else seems to work, but my headlights won't turn on until I"ve been driving a while... found the fuses in the engine were cracked... replaced...no no change... checked every fuse in the fuse box inside... no help!!! I'm missing something... what is it?

check the wiring to the lights. might be shorting somewhere.

c'mon...we gotta have some electrical tyoes out there... the headlights kinda fade on hen they come on, too....

Have you checked the voltage across the headlight harness? It's much easier for you to just check the voltage and at least rule out some possiblities that it is for us to take wild guesses...

this isn't a flame, just a tip: get as much info as you can before asking for opinions and you'll get the correct answer a lot faster.


BTW: since they fade on I would assume that something is warming up and completing a weak connection; or your alt is gone or your batt is on the way out or you have a short or.....

<edit> actually that didn't make any sense, if the connection was completed they would just instantly come on full; sounds like a batt or alt (maybe a short).

i was gonna say since the battery was fading that you might want to check the alternator. You may have a bad connection or it may be getting ready to go out.
