well i messed up the motor too but got a manual trans and a motor, so im droppin both in :) but i have a few holes on the side of my tranny.and dont know what they are for. anyone able to drop in both engine and trannny at same time. i had to seperate the auto trans just from block to get it out.
are crank position sensors different from auto to manual? what speed sensor do i use?

did a little search and found this it should help but all those holes are for sensors which are a bit pricey brand new and remember you need a s14 vss to make the speed work

Just replace them with your own sensors that are already on the tranny.

You need the speed sensor that is specific to the car/engine...
like s14 in an s14. or dual cam speed sensor in a dual cam s13.

Although, I could be wrong and all dual cams could be the same.

CPS should be the same.

CPS is the same. Those holes are for neutral, 5th gear, and reverse switches, not needed unless you're going to hardwire them in, just buy pipe plugs to cap them off.

and what does having these switches do?as opposed to blocking them off? i think i have some of them with the swap when i bought it

They simply tell the ECU gear position. The 5th gear switch is used for the fuel cut, the neutral just relays that the transmission is in neutral, and therefore under no load if the engine revs.
