A supercharger is just a belt driven air compressor.  Instead of spinning the compressor with an exhaust gas turbine as in a turbocharger, it's mechanically turned by the engine.

You can pretty much supercharge anything that runs on gasoline.

Last I checked Unstable-hybrids was working on a supercharger kit for the 240SX, but it's not finished yet.

I'd rather have a turbo personally...  I'd take a little turbo lag to give up the power lost to spin the supercharger itself.

Unstable hybrids was working on that super charger over a year ago. I'm sure the project has been abandoned. They were trying to fit a roots type miata SC on the KA. Lot's of fitment problems.

At this point it's just not cost effective to produce a SC for the 240. The R&D alone would be more than the sale of 1 or two SC kits a month. With the turbo charging options out there a SC kit just wouldn't make any sense from a buisness standpoint.
