View Full Version : Keep flywheel from spinning

Hey thought id share things since most race or drift guys have to do it alot. Iv used other tricks for years but to keep the flywheel from spinning on the KA motor i found you can take a pressure plate bolt and a 10mm craftsman wrench and its like a clicker in your seat belt lol. You can lock it to tighten or lose. Hope this helps.. i used other wrenches and no go but you can use the same idea on other blocks maybe.. good luck

I am pretty much an impact wrench myself, but this will come in handy for people who aren't as awesome as I.

I used the impact to take it off but then you must torque the bolts from the crank to flywheel to 105 foot pounds so i had to hold it somehow. I think with aluminum flywheels you should never use a impact but i could be wrong.

y wouldnt u just put a 27mm socket on the crank and have someone hold it?

It looks like my screwdriver trick, with a fancy swinging part on it. bet that swinging part jacks the price up 80 bux.
