drift freaq

Ok, my previous S13 was an auto that I converted to 5 speed.
anyways I did not swap the auto ecu out to 5 speed ecu. due to the fact that it was OBDI, it did not matter. it did not throw a code to turn on the check engine light.
Now here comes the fun stuff. The auto ecu has a higher rev limit. I was able to spin my engine up to 7100 rpm (I had a lightened flywheel with intake and exhaust).
I also discovered that it did not seem to have a top speed limiter. I actually ran the car at 125 mph and it could have gone farther. I did not want to push it any faster on the 5 freeway.
so where is Dave going with this? Well if you want a higher rev limit and you want a higher top speed than the 115 mph cutoff that the 5 speed ecu has go out and get a Auto ECU and plug it in <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>
Have fun
P.S. S14 owners do not try this . Your ecu will throw a code and your check engine light will come on.
