yea im bout 2 swap a ka24de in my 1990 but the harness that comes with the motor is auto my car is 5 speed will it work or do i have 2 find a 5 speed ka24de harness

No, they are not the same.
You will have no problems running a 5-speed car with the auto harness. But you will need an auto harness for an auto tranny car. There is a couple extra plugs that go on up by the throttle cable. There is also one other difference(IIRC) but not sure what it was.
I ran an auto harness on a 5-speed for a while. Then I went turbo, and eliminated all the extra garbage that I did not need from my wiring harness.

so an auto harness will act as a 5 speed harness with a manual transmission? no differences whatsoever?

rewire the harness. Some plugs arent used. Other than that you are good to go. Cant say about 5 speed to auto tho!

For 5 speed conversion, I think you could rewire some unused wires.....since I am sure that there should be enough wires for the sensors......The 5 speed conversion has about 3-4 sensors to work with such as neutral, 5th gear, back-up light switch and VSS sensors which i am sure that auto harness also has something similair to it.....
