is there a way to get around the factory amps(and ive already searched) my head unit puts out more power than the amps, so do i need them for anything else? since i put 6x9's in the front and back of my s13 FB, the amps are just chillin in the door pannel ducktaped there...

so i want to know if there is a way to get around them, or just totally remove them? does that plastic amp with all the other crap have to stay to work my power windows or anything else...?

thanks

Your best bet would probably be to replace the wires, though if you don't want to (hell, I didn't). I just guessed and checked all six wires into the amp untill I found the right ones. Mebbe try using a multimeter.

Anyhow, if you have an aftermarket head unit, you definitely want to bypass those amps. They will take whatever wattage comes from the head, and knock it down to five or seven watts, whatever the factory rated was. . . .

are those little ****ers in the front AND rear, or just the front? i'm gonna go de-wire them tomorrow, and hopefully mount my 6.5's up front...

Did you check "Archive and FAQs" cause it tells you.

Yeah, it should be in the FAQs somewhere.

Anyhow, the front has an amp behind each speaker, the rear (s13) has a single amp, driver side under the speaker mount.
