actually, if you put it in projectors its fine. if you use the WRONG type of bulb for ur housing ull get bad lighting i believe

Well my car is a 95 and I did that 98 silvia conversion to the front, (everything is JDM besides the headlights if anyone is wondering, due to a different beam pattern that they have in Japan.) So when I did the conversion, they headlights are projectors. They look GREAT, and I got the kit for $350.00. They best example that I have so far, is my friend has an S2000, Both of us got different ppl to drive our cars down the street, about a mile of so, then came towards at about 50 MPH, and neither one of us could tell the difference. My HID's have the same "Flicker" effect as the S2000's do.

NICE! What color temp are those? Will they fit in a H4 housing on a s13?How much did they cost? Where did you get them?

Mine are 5100K, I got them off of a guy on E-bay, and he told ,me that if i needed another kit to let me know. So if anyone is interested let me know. $350.00. Same color of Honda S2K.

The blubs are not really designed for any certain type of car. they are made to the blub size. They have every type of bulb made. So yes, they do have H4. They also have H1, which I have, H3,H4,H7,9005,9006, and also 9007.

Nice, but it looks like your getting some glare from that kit. I plan to do the same thing...but retro-fit Xenon projectors.

The glare is from the camera. It was hard to find an angle where I could actually take the picture. They are just bright, so It was a bit difficult.

Also, I dont' know if the HID's will work correctly in the
"regular" housing. just a thought. I wouldn't want you to pay $350.00 for some headlights and them not function right.

Well, friends with Maximas (97 and 99) both installed Xenon. On one, we had to aim the headlights all the way down, but it looks incredible and functions awesome.. Some glare, but when aimed correctly they function and don't blind anyone. Before, it was insanely bright. The only downside, if you replace a bulb that had two filaments (for high beam as well as low), you lose high beam. Do my friends give a rat's ass? It doesn't appear so. =)

Actually, the regular Kouki S14 projector housing isn't made for HID's so the beam pattern most likely isn't as clean as it would be in a projector designed specifically for HID's. There's a guy up here with a 2G Eclipse that retrofit some Hella HID projectors into his headlight housings. Here's the link:

Also...did you ask Chris at Speed Alliance to use those pictures?

I heard that McCulloch is not releasing anymore more H.I.D's right now because they are not Dot approved and illegal.

Arrrg. Why would you bring up old threads? HID kits are illegal to sell now anyways.
