So the dumbass who had the car before me i guess bulled out the back tint and in the process, striped most of the condictive coating off the lines. the silkscreening is still all there though.
Does anyone have any suggestion on fixing it besides masking off all the lines and going through about 5 of those defoger fix kits??

Easiest option, replace the glass. You can repair the grid but it's a major pain in the ass, more than I was willing to do and I used to install the kits on new cars without defrost. I bought a new rear glass and threw it in, done. There's a page in the FSM that details repairing it, skim that over to get an better idea.

I'm facing the same problem with my rear glass on my 95. I'll be just getting another one. Can you still get the rear glass from Nissan or will I have to find a donor car?

Nissan still carries it but most glass places will have it for less, PPG for example makes a replacement window, mine was $380 vs. the dealer which is over $700 last time I checked. I also have a couple of windows I've pulled from parts cars but shipping is absolute murder, the last one I shipped was broken in transit and required a five month ordeal to get paid on the claim. If you can find a local car to pull it from it's an easy 10 minute process with the right tool, you just want to make sure the grid is good before pulling it.
Also note this - cars with the keyless/security have an extra grid in the bottom of the glass for the remote antenna, cars with the FM diversity antenna have a grid in the top of the glass. Nissan will have them by application, an aftermarket window will have all the required grids for all applications.

So that's what that is at the bottom of the window!
