I saw some pics and it reminded me of the knight rider movie with all the product placement. It's pretty funny to see some hacked up "death car" with a shiny chrysler or ram or mustang emblem. The original was pretty cool, I think I'm gonna watch that and wait for the remake to come out on channel 2 haha.

and all i have to say is jason statham must have a great agent...because he gets cast in every movie thats like this and gets way to much work for his acting ability if you ask me (although he was great in snatch)...probably has the same agent as shia labeouf. Jason Statham is actually sent in to kill the bad directors, not act.
I wish it had worked on Uwe Boll. I want back that half hour of my life that I gave up giving his movie a chance.

The "non-hero" cars are way cooler than the Corporate whore cars.
Check out the BMW 7er, the Jaguar XJS, and the Riveria if you don't believe me.

I think the approach here is modern day B-movies. moderate budget & production values, formulaic plot w/ fancy premise, B-list directors & B-list actors who don't charge that much. usually there are moderate profits for customers like kids who wants cheap thrills. personally i've never been a huge fan of Stratham other than some of the guy ritchie films, but yes it's more so because of the lousy films he gets thrown in (plays the same smartass tough-guy hero in every film he's in), and not so much what he can do as an actor. when you choose to pay $$$ for a jason stratham film, you're only deceiving yourself if you presume it be anything other than a popcorn movie (not that I think there's anything wrong with that).

Shia La Douche is just annoying on a totally different level imo. plays the same whiney under-achiever in every film, and perhaps only does it too well. he is one of my least fav modern actors.

The movie was ok. The races seemed to be a little repetitive. I wish they went onto different tracks instead of the same track all the time...wtf would they need navigators. lolz.

Movie was better than expected, but for some reason, I had a feeling I was watching 2 fast 2 furious with Tyreese being in there. haha.
