hey, i just bought a set of sr injectors and one of them happens to have a broken pintel cap. Anyone know of the best place to get the replacement part from?

try deutschworks or just run around in the junkyard. ALOT of cars share the same style pintle cap.

just to let you know, if they are sr injectors they are not pintle style injectors. They are considered disc type injectors with the 4 holes. Pintle style injectors are what the Q45 injectors design is.

I know deatchwerks sells the pintle caps for the Q45. If you want the caps for the sr injectors try deatchwerks or go to the dealer and ask them. But if the plastic part is broken on the sr injector, it wont hurt anything. I dont know how bad the plastic is broken so you may want to post a picture of what you are talking about.

If you brought them new you should be able to send them back. This happened to me and even though I wasn't sure if it was going to make a difference thats more money then I want to take a chance with. If they are used try to source them.

Oh i just took off the cap since its completely cracked. There used so can't send em back. You think like napa, autozone carry them as replacement parts?

isn't that part for the sohc ka24e? Are the stock injector caps interchangable? doesnt specifically say sr20det injectors.

Talk to deatchwerks, they got me some when this happened to me. They got plenty lying around.

oh ok sounds good, its pretty important to have them i heard and thats why im replacing mine. It allows your injector to seal correctly and i believe set the o rings in place so it doesnt fall out of place which makes sense.
