So upgrading from a T28. I was curious if anyone had any good info on another option for a turbo. What hotside would be a good size. My hp goal is like 350-400hp. I was thinking about the diesel truck turbos (T04) but the hot-sides on those are massive like a holset HX35 with a .84 hotside was one of the smallest I could find but thats still to big... Damn.. Any help would be appreciated...

just get a gt2871r .86 that will make the power you want and all of your power will come in sooner rather than taking alot of time to move more air for a larger turbo.

1.GT2871 .64
2.GT2871 .86
3.GT28RS "Disco Potato"
4.S15 Spec R Turbo
all those get the job done...

-for that power i recommend the 2871r .64 (used it, worked, a little to laggy for me)
-if your after response i highly recommend the spec-r s15 turbo (gt28r), probably one of the if not the most responsive turbo i've ever used.

damn. LOL these are all really pricey... Maybe the holset hx35 will work after all and I can get it fairly cheap for like 200-250bux...

I'm using the GT2871r .64 and currently making 348hp at 1.4bar. Good turbo and spools real nice.
I switched from [blew to shit] an Apexi AX53B60 and the spool time is very similar but the Apexi only made 310hp at 1.4.
