Alright so I let my friend drive my car, since I was too intoxicated to drive, and now both right wheels are totally curbed. They are Work Equips, and different size front and rear. Is there any company that repairs this? They are polished aluminum lips. I know they dont even make these wheels anymore, so im pretty pissed.

I have also heard about work or another company making lips that I can replace these with? (since they are 3 piece)

Any information whatsoever would be helpful, phone numbers, links, anything so I can get these fixed.

Moral of the story, either don't get too drunk where I cant drive, or dont let my friend drive, or dont take my car at all lol......SUCKS

Post up a pic

There are different Equip models...and who knows maybe we can suggest a less costly alternative.

A lot of wheel refurb companies can repair pretty severely damaged wheels/lips.

Was he drunk as well by any chance?

Here are some pictures of the damage...hard to see in a few of them. Anyway, I talked to Work USA and they said they sell lips for them for $350.......thats a bit extreme if you ask me. It would be nice to have brand new lips though all the way around.

I'll take a look at the picture later but I know shops here can fix up wheels (cracked lip etc) very well for around 150 - 250 a wheel depending how bad it is.

You could do it yourself if you have:
1: a compressor
2: Da sander gun (3" disc's) - w/ multiple Grits starting w/ 80,180,320,500,800,1200,1500
3: Die Grinder to attach Buffing wheel (rouge wheel) red Rouge & White Rough..comes as a kit.

Start w/ 80 and just sand the hell out of the scratches,..w/ each grit untill the gouges are gone visually and it gets smooth to the touch.
Once your done w/ the sanding
...put the Rouge/buffer wheel on a die grinder (something that can get High RPM's and Use RED Rouge 1st...hit the area in question and the mutha will shine like Chrome. Then Hit it w/ White fi your not happy.DONE.

Will look waaaay better than it does I can assure you that.
maybe $30 in Materials and about 2 hrs of your time.
I would just work w/ that one area and not bother w/ the whole wheel.
Downfall may be the lips have a clear to them.

Just want to say, forgive the friend. Your at fault here too for being too drunk to drive your own car. Not judging, just suggesting that you hold no hard feelings for the homeboy.

I know it's an eyesore to you b/c it's your car, but seriously just leave it, it's not even that bad.

You'll probably end up curbing them in the future anyways.

If you're really that anal, just find a local wheel shop that does polishing. Should be around $100ish, if they're charging more that then you're getting ripped off.

this may sound REAL gay, but it works. Get some of that putty-pro shit from walmart, the as seen on tv stuff- then get your wheels powdercoated. Granted, those are VERY nice wheels, you may not want to. Thats what I did to my used m3 wheels. Turned out ok actually.

They are the fakin shit!

Ill put my word on the simple fact that these guys can fix anything and make it look better then new. All the lambo and crazy dealers around my area use them. They will come to your house or place of work and fix your shit for around a hundred a wheel they also offer painting and other services. I dont work for them i just enjoy buying rims that are shot and paying 400 buks and making them new again :)

that is so minor, any wheel repair shop can fix that. No need to replace the lip.

That can be fixed no problem, just search reputible shops in your area and look for feedback and don't give up. My inner lip was like "folded" over itself and I went to a very reputible shop called Wheels America (a.k.a TransWheel) and I shit you not, the guy walked in, said "What the fuck", grabbed the wheel and went in the back and said were not going to fix it. I drove 30 min to be there for under a minute, and woulda spent $125+ for the fix with 2 day turn around. I went to a lil place downtown called Roman's Tire shop, they said we'll see what we can do, give me 30min. Came back out and I had to turn the wheel 3/4 of the way to even find where the damage was. I got the wheel Fixed and 2 tires mounted for $60.00... Moral of the story... That's fixable no problem, don't settle when one place says no, and please don't take your car next time you know you're drinking.
