I know a guy mentioned this a few weeks ago and I was wondering just how hard it is to move the battery to the right side under the hood and make a custom short intake pipe on the left side. I know moving the battery won't be a problem and getting the custom pipe won't, but all I am concerned with is extending the wires that go to the MAF...is this a big hassle and not worth the trouble? I'm going to be home for a month from college and I figured it sounded like a good project to occupy my time with in between semesters...

IIRC, the harness to the MAF crosses the front of the engine. Logic says that if it goes from the front of the engine to one side, it should be able to go to the same distance on the other side, meaning the same distance from the front of the engine to the stock placement. Anyways, just get to your car and take a look.
On second thought look at mine:

you can pretty much trace the wiring from the MAF.

If you are going to move the battery, don't move it to the right side. You gonna offset the balance. Move it to the trunk behind the passenger.
