car won't start

hey if anyone has an idea as to why my car will not turn on let alone crank over, i'd appreciate any input. well my starter was tested and its good... new battery... um and there is no spark in my spark plug wires, as i ghettoed by sticking a screwdriver into the wire to see if there was any spark. I swapped distributors around with my old motor as it was working before. I do get fuel; fuel pump is fine. I swapped in another sohc motor and stuck on what to check next. all my grounds are in place. I do however hear a small constant electrical buzz coming somewhere from under the manifold when I turn the car on...?

does your fuel pump turn on when you put the key in maybe its the fuses

oh yeah i checked all fuses and fuel pump. a ok

The engine will crank regardless of the condition of the fuel pump. Check battery voltage (B+) Then check for b+ at the starter. check for b+ at the clutch switch and then to the signal wire to the starter.
