I jumped the neutral safety switch on both sides of the plug the transmission harness side and the chassis harness side, and the car still won't crank. It has brand new battery and is grounded fine. The car is an 89 two-tone coupe... Is there something I am missing?

I used the jdm s13 sr20det tranny harness too i wasn't sure if that was a problem or not. (not sure if all the plugs really matched up).

check your wiring this seems to be a common problem when installing a sr

try messing with your timing, probably messed with it whiling installing the swap.

if it doesn't crank, see if your ecu is plugged in, if not its wiring.

friend did a motor swap auto to 5 speed as well, car wouldn't crank, ecu wasn't fully in :D

Check the wire going to the starter. Should be it.
