I just picked up an old copy of Import2nr that I forgot I never read (oct '02) and on page 24, in the fouroneone section there's a blurb that says "According to J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study  released in late May, GM's quality surpassed Nissan's." Are people really that stupid or is that just what happens when you don't ask anyone who actually OWNS a Nissan?

OUCH - that's a survey not a study. &nbsp; It is compiled from questions completed by buyers of the car. &nbsp;Sadly, they only talked to people who own Nissans about Nissans. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh2:'>

Did they happen to talk to anyone who lived outside Detroit?

GM makes crap, &nbsp;my family has owned 4 different GM cars, and compare them to the 4 Nissans that have been owned (all similar years and car categories) and the Nissans are much better engineered and MUCH less costly to maintain (all of these cars have been owned since I have been able to drive) &nbsp;I just think that Nissan owners are more aware of the problems in their cars, and people that buy GM cars are just ignorant of many proglem associated with it. &nbsp;(the fam is now all riding in Nissans)
