Im pretty sure I know the answer to my question but I still need to ask.
Under any circumstances will an open diff(stock s13 to be exact) leave two sets of tire marks(side by side) on the ground ? Dirt, grass, sand, mud, ect...
Ive been trying to find out if my stock diff is open or not. Its a 93 coupe se. I cant just do it the old fashioned way and do a "burn out" or "doughnuts" because my car is an auto. Im not into brake stands, and when its been wet out I have tried to do some circles but it stalls pretty easy when I do them. I dont want to crack it open and look till I buy my 1.5(im lazy).
It feels like the z32 diff I had in my sil80 but I dont really play with my car right now. As soon as my 5speed goes in(a few days) I can find out really quickly.
My car will leave two sets of marks on pavement but the outter is more faint than the inner(If im going around a cornner), or on dirt, grass, ect...
Once again, I think it has a diff but it feels weak if I do. I have never had a stock lsd from a s13 so I dont know how they feel.
Thank you.
