View Full Version : Pearl white 97 Nissan 240sx LE w/ redtop SR20DET clean in Long Island/Queens, NY

This is an original 97 kouki Nissan 240sx LE. No conversions here, the car was not auto and it wasn't a zenki turned kouki, everything lines up the way it's supposed to. Pictures do not do justice to this car, I can't stress how clean this car is. $11,000 o.b.o.
Modifications:
- S13 Redtop SR20DET
- Exedy Stage 2 3 puck sprung clutch with metallic plate (can handle up to 400hp)
- Blitz FMIC
- Z32 brake upgrade (Z32 300zx calipers in the front painted red, slotted and drilled rotors in front and back, stainless lines in front and back)
- Nismo 2-way clutch-type Limited Slip Differential (little loud but definitely well worth it)
- Blitz Intake
- HKS Super Sequential Blow-off Valve
- Apexi N1 3" exhaust (blow-off valve sound with exhaust note alone is worth buying this car!)
- 3" downpipe
- Z32 Fuel Filter
- Autometer Oil Pressure Gauge
- Autometer Boost Gauge
- Autometer EGT Gauge (currently not hooked up)
- Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost controller
- Walbro 255lph fuel pump
- Apexi SAFC II
- Apexi Turbo Timer
- B&M short shifter (the best part of the entire car, feels amazing!) + 350z/G35 black leather shift knob
- Suspension Techniques Sway Bars in front and back
- Performance Tension Rods (don't remember the brand, I do remember I got them through either Heavy Throttle or SPLParts.com)
- KYB AGX adjustable shocks (about 1000 miles on them)
- Tanabe lowering springs
- OEM NIssan 350z Touring 18" wheels (3 other sets of wheels available, please ask!)
- 20% window tint was just redone
- OEM Nissan SE lip spoiler + fog lights with yellow 4500k bulbs for that JDM look
- 10k Hid headlights
- JDM optional limited edition Momo black leather steering wheel with red stitching - waited almost 2 years before I found this wheel and cost me $500 shipped - mint condition (since airbag had been changed the airbag light is on)
- Black leather with red stitching shift boot + e-brake boot + armrest cover
- JDM folding power mirrors painted to match the color of the car (not wired up)
- CompuStar alarm / Remote starter (5 speed safe) / 2-way pager great in the winter
Car has 140k miles on it. The engine went in at around 114k. The oils been changed about every 2k miles with stock Nissan filters and synthetic oil. All fluids have been flushed about 500 miles ago using all synthetic Motul motor oil, Motul gear oil in transmission and 90PA specifically designed to work with Limited Slip Differentials and quiet the chattering! The engine is very reliable and runs completely trouble free, sounds very healthy and pulls strong. The car has never been drifted. It has been through one day of autocross with the previous owner, but that was with the stock suspension and engine. The current clutch has about 10-11k miles on it and was bought with the intention of doing a turbo and fuel system upgrade.
The car was set up for a bigger turbo and is about $2000 or so away from being a 350-400 whp car, just get a set of injectors ($400-500), ecu upgrade (enthalpy, jwt $500, or power fc conservative/safe tune) and a bigger turbocharger (garret gt 2871 $1100). I was more than content with the car's performance with the stock turbo since I was using the car as a daily driver mostly on highways commuting to and from work. The boost controller has two settings programmed, a low boost of about 5-6 pounds and a high of 12 psis. The car is 98% of the time ran on low boost (very efficient fuel economy!!!), but can be switched with the touch of a button, the 12 psi setting will have you pinned to your seat!
The exterior is very clean, the factory pearl white paint was well cared for, has a very nice shine to it! I usually wash the car at least once a week. It is about the same condition if not cleaner than my 2004 BMW M3s alpine white paint! Has absolutely no rock chips on the front! There is one minor ding on the passenger quarter panel that is smaller than a nickel, it didn't come up on any of the pictures... There is also a quarter inch spot right behind the antenna. The only other thing I can think of is the rear bumper needs to be repainted, I scratched the paint on a parking lot guide pole in the corner (no physical damage to bumper only the paint).
The interior is all original. One of the reasons I bought the car is the LE trim, which came with suede inserts in the door panels, and the leather seats. The driver side seat's cushion on the outside is pretty worn (see picture on the bottom), the seat holds a lot better than the earlier model S14 zenki seats and is very comfortable though! If the new owner is interested I have a brand new Bride Gias Low Max seat I was going to install, we could possibly work out a deal for the seat as well. The highlight of the interior is the impossible to find Momo original Nissan black leather w/red stitching steering wheel. It was a very rare option even in Japan, and this one is in absolute mint condition with no signs of wear whatsoever. Matching black leather with red stitching custom made shift boot, e-brake boot, and armrest cover complete the interior. The super afc II was cut into the center console, along with an AutoMeter oil pressure gauge. Besides the other electronics the rest of the interior was left unmolested.

I am located in columbus ohio and I have the money right now, I went to florida because I was going to pick up an evo that was not up to my standards, if this car is as clean as you say it is, can I have detailed pic's of the undercarrage? has the car been driven in the snow/ salt? The car looks beautiful , I am more worried about the rust issues from northern cars. You are about 8 hours from me but I am able to fly in with no issue like I did to florida. Please get the pic's up asap if you can thank you jason. I have bought 2 cars from the boards with good sucess and traveled more then 800 miles each time for the cars, this will not be an issue if the under carrage is mint. Just to let you know I am not a tire kicker, nor a kid without money.

Nevermind Just seen it on your ebay link, looks decent good luck with ebay, had big issues with trying to sell a car on their a few years back due to mostly non paying bidders, Trying to sell a car for 11k that is worth only 4960 and this from nada.com for an perfect LE . In no way am I trying to disrespect your sales, I agree the car is worth close to what you are selling it for but, You are going to have to deal with cash only people. WE all know how much stuff you have on it ect ect, but the bank never looks at it this way, If the car does not sell on ebay or they do not pay , do not repost it on there and email me a pm on here with your number and I will call you and we can work somthing out asap.
Thanks jason

Mattsil80wis you got mail!
Ost911 and Gprb25 thank you for the compliments! Thank you for the offer as well, but I still got too many cars here right now. In a few months once I start missing this one Ill probablly look for another kouki, but not right now ;-).
Jason I sent you an email through ebay. I don't know what my car is worth according to nada, but if its 4960 can you ask them to tell me where to find one for that price? If the car doesn't do at least $10,000 on ebay Ill be very happy to have an excuse to keep it... Thanks though!

I Agree but thats all the bank is going to loan anyone on here that wants to buy the car from a bank, NADA is what 99% east coast banks use. Trust me ive gone through this alot with cars also, I use to have a 99 gsx limited ann edition gsx the most rare of all the awd turbo, and in a color that only came on 1700 of them, this was back in 2000 I bought the car from an older gentlemen in PA and took out 20% more of the loan because of my credit, at the time in aug of 98 the car sold for 27,500 off the lot . in 2003 I modded the shit out of the car, putting everything possible from a shep tranny 4,000 to a fully built alum rod motor set 10,000 , volk rim's with slicks 3500 ect ect ect I had over 50k invested in the car alone with every recept, I tryed selling the car on ebay , the car only had 39k org mile and I was getting crazy low ball offers for my car, Then I realized no one has the money to buy a 2xk drag car out of pocket when now days everyone finaces everything, alot of people wanted but everyone was broke. I ended up going the smart route, selling all the aftermartket parts and getting more then what I did for the car. If you do not mind me asking how much did you pay for the car? yeah the cars are rare but not that rare. What on this car makes the price jump so high? the most I see is the 2200 motor. I am in no way trying to hassle you I really want this car. I will give you 8,500 in cash in 100$ 20$ or 1$ if you want I think its a decent fair price I would add more if the car had really nice rims, and really nice suspension, but everything is pretty much basic on it. If you do not take the offer thats fine, I understand and in no way am I offended or trying to offend you. If the bidding goes past 8,500 on ebay its all good and I am happy for you, but just sit back and watch and get back with me whenever it sells or not, thanks for your time

with all those super rare and awsome mods you have , I mean that has to be 1 or only 5 sr's in the states, and that wheel and suspension set up is crazy. I offered you 10,500 how is that lowballing when this is what you wrote me. I offered 2 times what the car is worth to a bank .

Re: car
Everyone bids the last second. I got 77 people watching this auction, and even if 3-5 start bidding at the end they'll bring the number up. Someone just offered me $10,500 and hes willing to wait until the end of the auction. Again the car will definitely not sell below that mark, like I said if that's the case I will gladly keep it. I am definitely in no rush to sell. Thanks!

Ok. If Im trying to sell a car for twice what its worth and you are going nuts trying to buy it what does that make you? Was it not you that emailed all my bidders asking them how much they will bid at the end? It is very simple. This is the price, take it or leave it. Even I told you if you want the car for the asking price I still wouldnt sell it to you. Now if I was you just turn off the computer and go get laid. Even if you have to pay for it, itll be good for you. End of story...

Hey tommy94gt-
I've been talking to you through ebay under my user ID b_baker03. Just wanted to introduce myself through Zilvia as well. I'll be trying to put together some funds this week, and I think your asking price is pretty fair considering what it is. This isn't a corolla, you can't just haggle somebody for a lower price. This is more along the lines of a specialty enthusiasts car with a rare trim level, and it will require a person with the same appreciation for it as you have to sell to. GLWS, I hope I can take her off your hands.

All I did was offer you 10.500 cash for the car and seat which I do not think is a lowball, you came back on here and asked again, I do not see how that is a lowball , because you still have the car and obvious no one has the money to get it or it would be gone, I already have 3 240's two 98's so I was not going crazy for your car people on here know my cars. Your car is clean and white, somthing I was looking for my wife. Ask s14turbosilvia if I ever emailed him from ebay, because I never did. Personally to be honest the car is not for me, I showed her the pic's of your car and she liked them and wanted to take the 26k budget we have for the getting another evo, get you car and put the rest into savings which would be smart with the economy the way it is. Your then emailed me with some immature ass things like I need to get laid blah blah, How old are you seriously? either way I just stated facts and you got all butthurt because you trying to sell the car and make money off the mods. Anyone with a brain that has to take a loan to buy a car for double the worth is really fucking stupid, if you can not afford it buy cash then dont get it. Good luck

S14silvia thanks for the kind words, I hope my car goes to someone like yourself. Silvialove and everyone else thanks for the replies. Boosted jackass apparantly you do have a hard-on for my car since you have posted 14 replies in this thread. Thanks for all the bumps, thanks for keeping me on top of the board but this crap is getting really old. Do me a favor and keep your eclipse you invested $50k into and the 3 240s with all the rb26s and find a new car for your "wife" cuz I would rather burn this one down than sell it to you. Face it buddy, you like my car but you are too cheap to buy it, which is fine but to be a sore loser is a little much. Let it go pal, and if I can give you an advice use your $26k budget to seek professional help. Stop embarassing yourself, its just a car it aint worth it...

I never one time bidded on their because you said you had guys willing to pay more thats fine, that was it. My name is crazyjarhead on there, you never one time talked to me on their or I was never even on the watch list.
if you telling me to get laid you def do not know who I am you can ask the 100's of people that know me on zilvia from the drift events and that that I attend from my house in california and my house in ohio who I am and what I am married to I have nothing to prove to some guy on the internet. If you think I am some broke kid you have me wrong, both my 98 and 91 and my m3 coupe are my toys I was just looking for another rb twin . You are the crybaby that thinks you have some crazy expensive car. I know I could barley pull it off for my 98 with rb26 swap, and my mod list goes on and on and on. Get use to it mods do not make a price go up on cars...end of story.
Dude, keep your lies simple so you dont get confused. Look at what you just said.
#1 First you say after the 15 year old kid (dont know how you found out he wa 15 but anyway...) contacted you you STOPPED BIDDING (if you stop bidding that means at one time you had to start corrct?). Next line "I never one time bidded"... You just contradicted yourself moron! :loco:
#2 "both my 98 and 91 and my m3 coupe are my toys" I thought you said you had 3 240sxs from which 2 of them are 98s! You clearly said that in your post in the thread. :keke:
I really dont care "what your married to" but apparantly it is not a person because you would have said "to whom I'm married to", and I sure as hell don't care about the 100s of people that know you on here. I dont see noone rushing to your aid. Good to know your a "drifter" since you attend all the drift events with your rb26s. Truth is I could care less, and people like you are the reason these types of forums get bad reps. You are a pathetic liar living in a fantasy world behind the computer. Get some help man! :mrmeph: :fawkd:

Thank you jdmcoupe07 and raw sauce for the compliments! Dorby, hmm no! I think I sold you a set of wheels though, 18x9" and 18x10 2-piece? You had a green s14 with like an s15 sr20? I remember you were asking like $13-14 for it, right?

Bump for a fellow Kouki owner. Nice guy! I still don't see how this car hasn't sold. People are selling clean Kouki's without any mods for almost $9k. GLWS

Bad40R7 I would rather drive it off a bridge than sell it to Boosted. Thanks EDT007, thanks for the bump. Thats exactly what I thought myself. I guess with the economy being the way it is everyones scared and sitting on their money. Looks like a got quiet a few people just trying to get their funds together now though.
this thing is stunning fuck lowballers. hold out man your buyer will come. the body is flawless.

How much for the 350z touring wheels? You said you had 3 sets of them.
How much of a drop did the springs and struts cause? Would you part anything?

Thanks ZX88, I definitely will hold out. Pinoyboy3241 I have 3 different sets of wheels, only one set of 350z wheels. In my opinion the 350 wheels look great on the car, and thats why the car will be sold with them. The springs drop the front pretty low, I would say close to 2", but the rear could be lower for my taste. Its a very nice stance though. Im not going to part anything. Thanks!
