I just got myself a set of 16x10 (i know tires are hard to find)

the best available tire 245/50/16 (7.5" to 8.5 ) Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance etc

next is 245/45/16 (7"-9" rims) ie Hankook Ventus R-S2 etc

then they have 255/50/16 (7.5" to 8.5 again ???) Sumitomo HTR Z, BFGoodrich g-Force Sport, Dunlop SP Sport 8000, Falken Ziex ZE-512 etc

what size should i go with

i got myself a set of 6, so i'll be swaping the rears out when i am at the track

I dont have problem finding track tires for that size, but street tire size for 16x10 is tough.

i dont think i want to go 245/35/16, and i dont see anything above 255 available other than track tires

and please dont tell me to run 205/50/16, i dont think i am a fan of mAdz ztretchzzz

go with the 245/35/16, the 255/50/16 is like pure truck sidewall

lol.

Depending on your definition of stretch, you'll probably be pretty pissed when you put a 245/35 on a 10" wheel.

I suggest ditching the 16x10s because that's the most useless size ever unless you're going to run 275/45 Hoosiers all the time.

:-/

may be ....
the only tire avaliable in that size is the T1R
i'll add that to my list

edit: given the manufacturer's recommanded max width on that T1R is 9.5 inch, I'll probably be ok with that ...
but i still need more input

35 sidewalls on a 16 are too short. You'll have to slam the fuck outta the car to get it to look right. I would stick with 245/50/16. It is a common size and some of the extra sidewall heighth will be eaten up by the mild stretch that they will have on a 10" rim.

I have the RE960AS, they are great tires to daily on and have a 40k warrenty. They are an AS tire so they are not the best option for the track but seem to be one of the better performance AS on the market right now.

245mm = 245 millimeter = 9.645 669 291 3 inch

which shouldnt be THAT much of a stretch from what it looks like, what worries me is the manufacturer of all those only recommand up to a 8.5" rim
