View Full Version : ka24de Crank problems?
Hi, I recently took my car to the mechanics for a slipping clutch problem. The mechanic told me that it could be the crankshaft / sensor causing the bearing to not engage properly, how likely is this to be the problem? The same mechanics recently replaced my clutch fork / all cylinders on the clutch system, replaced the flywheel and clutch disk, and the clutch is still slipping after 2500 rpm.

your car doesn't have a crankshaft sensor. you may need to adjust your clutch pedal now though so it doesn't engage/disengage so close to the top. and find a new mechanic

I hate when a part that doesn't exist causes a problem with something that's completely unrelated to the actual issue.
Thank you guys for the fast responses. Keep them coming if you have more info, I need to show these responses to the mechanic.

Update for you guys. This was the exact problem, clutch pedal was too tight. For all of you guys changing the clutch yourself, just adjust the clutch pedal so it's loose, too stiff = damaged new clutch. Thanks for the help.
