I picked up calipers off my friends 91 NA Z.

According to a website and other people to the 300ZX 91 and up used the 30mm Roter.

So the turbo and non turbo alike should use all the same parts. So I picked up 30mm rotors. The pads, Pins, shim kit etc and put it alltogether.

So here's the deal. The pisons are pushed all the way in and the brake pads only the roter seems to fit fine. But when I put then shim kit in...It doesn't fit! It seems to be that I just need 1 mm more clearance! Is it possible that I have the 26mm Calipers? But if I did wouldn't the roter not even fit at all without anything there?

Are you sure your friend's NA Z is a 91 model??
30mm front rotors are used in 1991 to 1996 Non-turbo
1990 to 1996 Turbo but 90 NA is different.

try to push the pistons in a bit more, You probably still did not push them in enough.
if that doesnt work you can

a) not use the shims and put them until the brakes wear a bit
b) mill down the rotors a bit (maybe the brand new rotor is a bit thick).
c) just use the inner shims.

if your center channel measures 34mm like you said on the phone then you definitely have 30mm calipers.

If that does not work out, then try to get some different pads, maybe nissan OE.

I was SURE my calipers were pushed all the way in. Then my ish didn't fit either. Clamped on them some more...sure enough...they pushed in more. Try that first G.
