Oil Filter Question ** i searched***

so i have a 97 S14. with a SR20DET (motor has 37000 miles on it.)
I changed the oil for the first time(just picked up the car 1 month ago) and had a question.

I've searched and saw alot of people using 10W30 so
I put in Castrol 10W30 oil (not synthetic)
and the oil filter i used was # M4612 ( used for altimas etc.)

i just wanted to know if that is the correct oil filter or if i need to change it.

again the number was M4612 for the oil filter any help would be great.

Not to sound like an ass, but did the oil filter you used fit? It is loose now, or leaking? If is works, it really doesn't matter what the number or application is, it's not like oil filters are all really close but some work better than others.

wouldnt use any other but them.. cross reference with a 91 sentra 2.0
