I love this lip, but the fact that it's fiberglass completely kills it.
Now, if it were Urethane, this thing would've been mine the day it was posted.

yeah i know my first plan was to make hella copys of these so i can have hella spares or just use a rubberize coating and lay a factory base paint over it and clear to go with the body. I know the rubberized coating will help with impacts and scrapes. I'vegotten lazy and its summer and i just got my new job doing body work and paint so i have little time to do all that.... hell if i could id make one in urathane form if i had to the resources too. All i need to do is enroll in aa pottery class and i can make a mold of this and get some other materials and wa lah! urathane bings replica.

not if u do it through grey hound shipping. About a quarter than what most shippers want.

yea you could ship greyhound but that lip is probably made of fiberglass. Greyhound is definately not careful with what they ship. If it was urethane I would say go ahead. I rode the greyhound bus a couple months ago and saw one of the employee place a bumper against a pillar and it just fell to the ground. And I dont think you can insure what you ship with greyhound.

you can put insurance but grey hound is risky but on the other hand is cheap as hell. THe only i can do is bubble wrap it alot. ON the bumper coming off i think the insurance would definatly cover that. FInding a box is one thing but shipping is even worse. Probly be like 50-70 to ship it.

actually yea if you could find a box big enough to fit the lip in, that would probably be enough to protect it when shipping with greyhound. I shipped a ford explorer front bumper with greyhound before that was only wrapped with bubble wrap and I think I remember it costing be only 25 dollars. I was really surprised but the price may have gone up because of gas.

well if i need a box upon request than i can get one for like 30 dollars or i can just wrap it like crazy with bubble wrap and put card board in triangles on the edges to help it from being crushed. That and put insurance on it plus the shipping cost insurance so 150+ shipping price insured not just 150 insured, You wont get back the money from the shipping. ONly cost like 4 dollars to ship it. I think to the east coast i've gotten like 38-40 to ship.
edit: acutaly with fedex it would be 23-30 dollars to ship plus whatever it cost me to box which i an gt for like 26-30 doallrs so maybe 55 tops to ship for "ineedparts"

just letting ppl know a box only cost 15.00 for the lip so fear of it breaking is gone with grey hound shipping.

So lip+box+greyhound=? And how does shipping with greyhound work? Would I go to the bus station and get it?
silpena

yeah lip+box+ greyhound price alltogether. Yeah basically i drop it off at a station and its delivered to what ever buss is schedruled to go that day o your city. Then i think they either call you or something like that. YOu go pick it up. so far i have some pending on the lip for 210 + the box so its like 225 shipped but thats here to socal. It probley like 235-245 shipped to east coast.
