would it make sense to wire the low speed of the taurus fan to both the low and high speed relays, since it already flows, what, 2500 CFM, and the high speed draws about 50 amps? or should i just wire up the low speed and put nothing on the high speed?

when the factory high speed relay kicks on, does it turn off the low speed relay? because if it does, then i feel that leaving the fan's low speed wired to both low and high makes sense. if it doesn't, then i'll just leave it wired to only the low speed relay, leave the high speed relay disconnected, and then wire the high fan speed to a new circuit that i'll just slap together in case i ever need it.

here's a diagram, can somebody check my work and tell me if this is fine?

yeah that looks good. but why are you bothering with the factory relays? Seems kinda redundant.. unless the relays are controlled by the tarus ecu and you're taking the tarus ecu and temp sensor and putting them in your car.. which of course would be retarded.

I would just remove either the low spd or the high spd relay and control the other one with a thermostatic switch.

What car is this for?

That's no good. Here's why.

1) Put a 50A fuse between the battery and the 50A relay, that is, if you can find a 50A relay. They're rare. Highest I've seen easily found at local stores are 40A, but keep looking.

2) Put a fuse between ACC and switch to be safe.

3) Where's ground for the 50A relay?

4) The low and high speed factory fan relays cannot be tied together like that. You will have current collision on the low fan power wire. Generally you never want to connect 2 wires with current together.

Try again in view of my comments and I'll see what you can come up with.

this is going into a KA s13.

this is my main concern. so should i just wire the low to the low and be done with it? what will happen when it flips to high speed, if it ever heats up enough for that to happen?

single cam or twin cam?

Either way, I don't believe S13s have low and high fan relays. Just the clutch fan and A/C fan control.
