I know everyone is swapping S13 and S14 and a few S15 SR20DET's into their 240's, but what are the disadvantages of turboing a 16v KA? Cost would the roughly the same, maybe less than the SR swap and KA's are a dime a dozen.
I know the KA has an iron block and steel oil pan where as the SR has aluminum block and mostly aluminum oil pan, so the SR is probably a little lighter.
The KA internals could be upgraded to handle more than a few pounds of boost....
so why not turbo the KA?
