let me help clarify.
I assume you're talking about the 2 types of ATF that Castrol makes. One is supposedly for "doemstic Vehicles" and the other is for "import vehicles". The answer is that it shouldnt matter too much. they are both dexron III fluids (im pretty sure). The Import stuff seems alittle thicker so i'd be more inclined to use that. but really it shouldnt make a difference. i've used both in my car and i could tell any difference.

Dex/Merc III is for imports and some domestics(4l60e), ATF+x is for most domestics
ATF+x has more lube in it

Ok while we're on this ATF subject. Is there any effective way to FULLY flush out the PS system? I know to undo the line and just bleed it out while turning the wheel lock to lock, but I want EVERYTHING out.
PS: no there's no PS fluid in it, I'm just anal like that :hsdance:

no...... ive had my old rack hanging for a week to drain, and when i move it more fluid still comes out
the best way i have found:
take all the lines off and spray out with TB cleaner
let everything drain out
take pump off and drain it
turn wheels back and fourth to squeeze what you can out of them
take off res and clean it out and change filters
put everything back together but leave return line pointing in a bucket
hook up a big res to the pump and fill with fluid (like a gal or 2)
start car and turn wheels from lock to lock to get filled with new fluid (make sure pump never goes dry)
put everything back together
take the return line off

as long as its dextron III it dosen't matter !! Unless its a newer car that requires special nissan matic j fluid then it's a dealer only item !!
