Well my TC rod bushings were shot and needed to change them out (super steering-wheel shimmy past 60mph + the dreaded silicone ooze leak). Well I was looking around at what I could purchase. I saw PDM's tc rod bushings, but also I saw the adjustable east bear, monkey magic, and cusco Pillowball tc rods. Well, then I looked at the price differences. $40 for the PDM bushings (just the bushings) and $180-$250 for adjustable pillowball tc rods. The PDM bushings came to my house today. At the time I ordered the bushings, I was thinking about money situations. Now I dont know if I made the right decision.

I would like suggestions if I should keep the PDM bushings or to sell them for adjustable pillowball tc rods. The adjustable rods do offer adjustability for different uses and some even have holes where you could add extra grease. Can't forget the pillowball ends as well. Are the PDM bushings good enough for some autox-ing and practical drift events? Let me know guys, before I start to install the PDM bushings! (Deep down inside, I have a feeling I will be keeping the PDM bushings, BUT you never know)

The adjustability is for tuning caster. If you don't need to tune caster, the adjustability is useless.

I'm assuming you bought the whiteline poly bushings from PDM, and not fresh stockers. They'll be a decent upgrade, nothing overwhelming, which could be a good thing. Pillowball TC rods will transmit EVERY wheel vibration to your hands.

Keep things in perspective... I always see people ask "will this be enough for ____?"... I track a bone stock, 135,000 mile 240SX... even the original struts.

If you decide to sell the bushings let me know, I'm in the market for replacements, my stockers are fried.

I'm in the same spot as you. However I think I'm going with TC rods. The one reason is because I do not want to mess with pressing those bushings in.

However you should be happy with your purchase as anything is better than busted TC rods. I have a friend with the PDM one's and I deffinatly notice a huge difference even when my TC rods were still good.

I've got the East Bear rods on an otherwise stock susp. s14. They transmit a good bit of harshness (but also a lot of feel). I'm sure the inserts would be fine for a daily driver/autoxer.

FWIW: I didn't think any of the t/c rods came w/ grease fittings b/c there is only one spherical bushing/bearing. I've seen tie rods w/ nipples, but not t/c rods.

Well, I'll probably just end up keeping the bushings and if I feel like it is a neccessity down the road, then I will get the adjustable pillowball tc rods.

Ahh yes, I am sure overall handling will be doing good in a few more days....JIC FLT-A2 coming this weekend! YES!
