so long story short we went to do a head gasket on my buddys ka24de and we got the head off and low a behold he has low comp pistons (i guess previous owner was going for a ka-t) so we decided to just swap it with a motor from the junk yard and build that motor for our project .
so we un bolt all but one tranny bolts and the one left is on the exhaust side and it goes though the tranny and motor and comes out the other side w/o a nut. wrenching on it does nothing cept spin it in place im outta ideas ne suggestions would be nice and greatly appriciated..
thank you

try putting pressure on it from other side while unscrewing it slowly or just drill it out if everything fails

i think what he is talking about is one of those long screws.. with out a nut iv had same problem i had to apply pressure from the engine side and unscrew it slowly so the thread can catch again

well if you can see the bottom of the bolt, get a punch and a hammer and just tap it while he turns it.

yep, take the whole thing out. Best way to prevent the bell housing from cracking, and trani is super easy to put in once new motor is in. I put them in by myself my knee on one end and then I wiggle the bell housing in. hope that helps
