after reading the shitty nismo fpr thread i'm kinda curious about which aeromotive fpr people are using. i have a nismo one right now, but upgrading to shiny -an fittings is enough to make me consider swapping it out.
i checked ebay and theres a few different ones on there:
Aeromotive 13101 adjustable from 30 to 70 PSI. Two -10 AN inlet ports, one -6 AN return port and 1/8" NPT gauge port, . Fuel Pressure will rise on a 1:1 ratio when referencing boost

Aeromotive 13109 A1000-6 #
Base pressure is adjustable from 30 to 70 PSI.
Provides two -6 AN ORB inlet ports and one -6 AN ORB return port.
Fuel pressure rises on a 1:1 ratio with boost.
1/8" NPT gauge port.

and so on. i just would like some input from anyone who has this style of setup.

bump. i would like to know as well.
I know theres -6 adapters for the fuel rail but what do you use for the stock hardline?

umm, i would say use an aluminum hoseclamp (you know, the blue and red ones, sold by aeroquip). but that only works if the hose fits over the stock hardline, which i dont know.
btw, i'm interested in the whole FPR thing, too.

The only difference between the A1000 and A1000-6 is the inlet port size and the cosmetic differences. -6AN vs -10AN. -10AN is fucking huge obviously. I run a A1000-6 myself and it's a fucking hulk. Aeromotive has a more compact one with -6AN ports.

I used the Earl's 5/16" tubing adapter. OEM fuel hardline measured 8mm to me.

Im personally using the 2nd one - 13109 A1000-6 - works great - im using it with barbed hose fittings tho and it seems to be holding just fine

Im also using the same one but with aeroquip push lock hose! It works so nice and is super easy to work with.
The only thing that i can complain about is i had a little vaccuum leak from the adjustment bolt on top of the unit. I redid it with some teflon and now is perfect

I am in Italy, right now, but I have the 13109 waiting to be installed at home, and will be using the SARD adaptor into the fuel rail.
Probably gonna run barbed connectors with rubber hosing for now.
I am getting tired of my Nismo FPR varying baseline idle fp by 3-4 psi.
Scares the shit out of me, considering that could be the diff between okay and boom maybe.

ive got the second one with all an lines and fittings, i cut and flared the oem hardline so i could use an lines. the hard tube adapter worried me a bit because it was not recommended over like 45 or 50 psi i believe but no one seems to be having any problems with it that i know of so it may be ok to use
oh and btw the oem hardline is a -5 an a strange size so you must get some adapters for the an fittings

I did the same thing, everything seem to be good so far....

I've been running a sard with hose fittings (8mm I believe) to run stock fuel line for the last couple of years with no problems and no leaks, but I've known a few people who have had tons of problems with leaks with regular hose, which is why a lot of guys do go ahead and go to AN (you can also do a combination of AN fitting from the fuel rail to the fpr, and then run a hose from the fpr return line if you don't want to worry about modifying the return to accept an AN line). Kinda wish I'd gone to Aeromotive every now and then, but the Sard was smaller and easier to come up with a mounting location and bracket at the time.
My biggest piece of advice I can give on this subject though... Use a good fp gauge! I blew a motor a few years back from running 14:1 afr's for a month of driving at wot because the cheap fp gauge I was using that I had laying around was reading about twice as much as what it should have (meanin my fp was around 20 instead of 40!). Ever since I've used a good B&M fp gauge and I won't modify a car again without a wideband installed.

I'm using a Marshall gauge....just under the hood, but I think they are pretty reputable brand or whatever.
I had a gigantic leak just a few weaks ago....I got greedy and tried to use too short of a piece of hose....I guess for it to route correctly, it needed to start "snaking" very close to where it was attached to the barbed fitting....the barbed fitting must have worn it's way through the rubber over a few months time...

when i said adapter, this is what I meant...

it's the one in the top left that goes in place of where the stock fpr goes.

UPDATE: Nismo FPR are shittier than ever (or i have some fuel pump issues aha).
Drove my car for the first itme in a month today.....after startup, FP was at like 28 psi, so i bumped it up to 33 psi, which is what is was when i got it tuned.
Drive up to school (30 minutes), get a few pulls in......an hour later, i go out to my car, start it up, and the fp is at fucking 20 psi!!!!!
This scares me shitless.
- Checked hoses, no leaks anywhere.
- Clearly a BIG enough difference that it's not due to a small change in vacuum.
So, either my fuel pump is being gay, or the FPR cannot hold a pressure without adjustment for SHIT.
Fuck that, I can't wait to put my Aeromotive on real soon.
