View Full Version : Exhaust
Has anyone heard anything about these Bomz Racing , Evoulution-R spec exhaust?
they have and adjustable airflow & Removable Silencer. Use it closed for maximum low-end torque and open for max high-end power.
I saw an add in my Sport Compact Car Mag(Volume 15 # 1)
Exhaust (second down) (http://www.bomzracing.com/muff.html)

then why not just hang out and look thru old threads? there's so many old threads you can read up on about wheels and sizes and suggsetsions .pictures of people's cars and exhaust recommendations.
sorry if i was rude, but you posted a link to a MUFFLER!! A MUFFLER!! why not find a quality catback? instead of junk w/ a muffler you'll probably end up welding onto your stock exhaust!?!? put out good money and buy QUALITY parts (wheels, exhaust etc). i tiwll take longer and cost you more $$ but it will look GOOD. and you wont regret it in the long run!

Heh. My hands are tied Dousan. Can't do anything but advise and redirect.
The only reason to buy a muffler is if you have a hookup with a shop to get MANDREL bent exhaust system, and you need a muffler. Other than that, our stock exhaust is so restrictive that a muffler won't do anything other than sound different.

Oh cmon, we already had this crap about systems vs custom catbacks. Yes, systems are better but not all of us have money. If you care about how your exhaust looks that's fine. All i care is whether it flows what i need and doesn't leak at the same time. The cheapest i can get this for would be my pick.
As for adjustability, this all looks like bs to me. To physically make it work, you'll have to be able to adjust the exhaust at every single point along it's length, not just at the muffler.
Not true. Weakest (smallest) link theory applies here.
Also if you mean a tuned exhaust, this is not 2-stroke so we don't need an expansion chamber effect to extract exhaust gas.
The purpose of this is not that it's constantly variable. It's so that your car is not obnoxiously loud and laggy in daily driving. Keeps the cops off your butt and gives you a little more bottom end. Open it up for competition use or fast road driving. More top-end power at the expense of drivability (low-end).
Hmm, I have to admit, I'm starting to like the stock muffler/stock tip look! It's pretty sweet for stock! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'>
