Well , i dont really know where to go with this..

I had bought extended studs from a company , I thought they were okay to run. well i drive my car today working out bugs with new turbo set up and get comfortable enough to start drifting.. everything is going fine , until a 3rd gear manji/clutch kick into a turn - a really loud rubbing sound in the rear occurs and i laugh at first thinking its just because my tires are so close to the fenders.

Turns out 2 studs had snapped.. and the other 3 were on their way out?

my dad commented and said the metal the studs are made of look cheap... could they have possibly overheated/over stressed and snapped?

ive never had this happen before and its scary to think it could have happened and a wheel flew off.. and possibly into someone

who can i go to to get decent studs now? need them asap! but also want to know if this happened to anyone else before (mainly in a high stress situation like drifting?)

shitty way to end the start of a good night...

did you properly torque your wheels? it doesn't even look like those studs are seated right. did the other two snap in half? at the base? at the lug nut?

ARP or Nismo are the only ones i'd put on my car. But more over, make sure they are properly seated first. ARP only makes them in m12x1.5 so you'll have to get new lugnuts.
