I have had this car for almost 10 years now. She has around 190k on the chasis. This Car has been a garage whore ever since I got it back from the shop 2 years ago. I have new priorities in my life and want to get out off the cash sucking hobby. A lot of work has been done at Full Function, Bay Area. I think it is time to pass it down to someone that will drive it to its full potential. Most of these parts have less than 1K on them. The bad is that it has a salvage title due to vandalism, mostly paint. Let me know how much it's worth. Thanks Guys!

By the many cars i have seen on the classifieds; id say that it would be worth at least 15-18k with a clean title. Not sure on how to value a salvage car but im sure it should not be far from that range.

If it was mine the least I would even consider would be 9k. And I would take that as low balling if someone offered that.

Very very nice car.

I would say 12-16k is a reasonable spread. 12 on the low low.

By far the Cleanest widebody made for the S14. Very suddle. The 3K vertex price tag holds me back LOL.

Around $15k sounds reasonable. The salvage title is what's going to make it a bit difficult. Most definitely one of the sickest s14's I seen.

very very very nice car.. but that salvage title hurts a with the sale, ive put my 98 s14 up for sale and everyone bitches about it, and super lowballs cuz of the title.

im not sure about the price but im know you put a lot of money in that beast.

oh and it's my 2,000 post saramuta..

yea i think the same. your car is hotness and sexxy all wrapped up but the salvage title is killing it and nevertheless it is a 95 240sx.. but either way i would say atleast 12,500

06-18-2008, 02:10 AM
I think you could get around $13-14K....You can ask for $15-16 but it would take you so long until anyone going to get it.....

Title is another concern for buyer since nobody wants to spend 13-14K for a salvage title car even though your car has a lot of good stuff, which is way more than what you're asking.....

$13-14K is a price that you can sell it quick....I am sure that your car's worth more than that.....

Maybe, some crazy one will buy your car and transplant it into a clean title one...... Only the aftermarket parts you have spent on the car is way more than what your asking price is....

Good luck with the sale...

I'd say $2k.
That car is ugly, horrid, and an all around piece of crap.
You should sell it to me. :)

Seriously though, I'd say 15k range.
Salvage title is going to be the price downfall.

Isn't there a way to clear a salvage title?
Probably wouldn't be worth it though. Might have to reinstall the KA to clear it.

$10-12k tops
Salvage title kills value
It sucks but it's a reality

Gumballf355
06-18-2008, 05:20 AM
Don't sell it, the ammount you'd get for it wouldn't be worth it. You're better off parting the car out if you want to get what it's worth.

gregfarz78
06-18-2008, 05:21 AM
The salvage title shouldn't hurt you that much do you have a lot of pics to document the progress from when you bought the car? It depends the extent of the damage I guess, its not hard for a 10+ year old car to be claimed totaled enough damage to the paint or a small collision is enough to make it more than the car is worth to fix so the insurance will claim its totalled.

nissan<honda
06-18-2008, 05:23 AM
15 max, no matter what salvage title always hurts you in the end

02BRB20
06-18-2008, 08:11 AM
$8000

why? bc salvaged title, zenki, and bc no one will pay you what you think its worth, seriously. Anyone with that kind of bankroll to spend on a car isnt going to waste their money on someone elses 13 year old heavily modified Nissan; they'd either a. build their own car or b. get something newer.

take out the SR, wheels, suspension, interior, drop a KA in it and sell it for 4500. Then sell all the shit you took out on the side or else we'll have to see you constantly bumping your For sale ad saying "PRICE REDUCED OBO!!!".

Id say your lucky if you get $10k for it.

Working for the insurance industry and totalling vehicles on the daily.. I have a lot of experience with this.

that car is worth about $4500-$7500 with a clean title.

Salvage, about $4500 or less.

all the money you invested in the car is a huge loss.

You should NOT invest $20k in upgrades on a $500 pinto and expect to get $15k for it..

upgrading a car is not the same as upgrading a house..

Example 1: Insurance claim. Collision. Total loss. Buick Lesabre "Scraper".

$5000.00 in rims, $3500 in stereo upgrades, $3000.00 incredible hulk green paint job.

Total loss settlement $4000.00 (ACV of vehicle with upgrades considered). You dont get dollar for dollar for your upgrades.. You do have the option of taking your upgrades off the car and putting it back to stock.

Again, dont go putting your college funds on cars that wont give you any return.

Ya its probably "worth" 15k or so but you will have a hell of a time finding a buyer. Its hit or miss. You might be lucky enough to place it for sale right when someone wants to grab a nice 240, but that does not happen all that often. Part it out if you want to make most of your money back

This is so true.
You're never going to get your money back. Not a chance in hell.

oh yeah, it also doesn't help that the insurance company that you pay so much money to protect you will do their best to FUCK you as hard as possible.

Haha, the JDM Theory kouki. Damnit, I coulda seen it last night but I rolled through to Jollibee's 5 mins. too late. Wait, didn't it already get sold? I thought someone just bought it. Hmmm.. I think I saw it at the UC Raptors fundraiser w/ the new owner as well.

i think you should take off the parts and return the car to as stock as possible. sell it for 2500-3000. and if you want buy a clean shell or zenkie with high mileage for 2000 and put the parts back on then sell youll get around 15k easily on ebay but then agin thats a shit load of work. so is it really worth it.

The amount that you get back from what you've invested, is a fraction.
Considering the amount of time, the money, and work.

For 15K or less, is it really worth selling your car?
Just keep it and drive it.

That's how I feel. Thats the reason I don't ever plan on selling my coupe. It's just not worth it. I'll build it like I want it and keep it.

A salvage title is only a pain in the ass in certain states.. like new york and new jersey.. Most people spent more and its not even half as good looking and legit as yours. I'd say 12-15k if you put it on a more open minded non specializing 240 site, who don't nit-pick so much even on the little things. When you modify a car you don't get anything back except satisfaction but when you buy a car you don't any resale either.. every year that pases thats another grand less you get.. MY point is keep it or take the hit.. ohh and some engine pics would help also..

I say don't give up just yet. Use resources (internet, paper ads, for sale sign etc...) put this car out there. The whole JDM/DRIFT trend is still big nation wide. Some rich kid/s parents will end up investing coin for their spoiled asshole child who will most likely end up wrecking it shortly after the transaction. GLWS

All else fails part it out.
Outstanding job on the car tho.

I'd say around 15k for your car. Just have to wait to find the right buyer.

Yes, modifications/upgrades to cars don't increase the value of the car to any normal buyer... but your potential buyers are those who do modify/upgrade their vehicles... just wait until you find the right person who is willing to pay for the parts you've installed on the car.

very very nice car! GLWS
