I was taking my head off while back and i looked around where i can find the studs that are screwed in to the head to hold the intake manifold. 2 seemed to have warped and i know this is going to be a problem when i start to reassemble it back to gather. can someone help me find where i can pick up some? also how to uninstall the screws and reinstall? ive never done or seen it done.
thanks

are they the same size as the exhaust mani studs? if so you can order them from FRSport. i just used some of their studs on my turbo and they are the shit!

Common problem.
Go to the Nissan stealership and ask for the intake/exhaust manifold studs from a Sentra. They should fit.
Hell, I think I have a bag in my car with some studs that I never got around to using. Let me check and I'll give you the part number.
EDIT: Part # 08224-82510
As far as un/installation is concerned thread two nuts on the stud and tighten them against each other. Once they are tight enough you should be able to take a wrench to one of the nuts and remove the stud. Installation works the same way.
Good Luck!

KA or SR?
For the KA they're M8 studs, I just pulled some an hour ago from a junk head. Use a stud extractor to get them out/in.

If the head is at the machine shop, just have them remove it for you and meanwhile bring them the studs to put in.... Make your life easier...

yeah ive always been curious as to what people do to install studs. do you just finger tighten them, or use the two bolt method to secure them?
