I posted at another forum but no answer. Hopefully I can get some ans from here. So my car has coilovers so of course it's lowered. My driveway sucks so I have to go side way if I dont wanna scrape. Before I got my struts and sways on I could hear my chassis flexing when I am going in and out. Thats normal I know. But after I got my struts and sways on I can hear metal popping noise from the suspension sometimes when I get in and out. But I dont really hear the chassis flex anymore. When its driving on the road everything seems fine. Handling is great. But I just want to make sure that poping noise is normal. And nothing is f*cked up. What do you guys think?

Stupid answer but it's happened twice to my cousin and I. Did you tighten your lug nuts all the way after doing the swap?
It happens...

hm, did you tighten the nuts on the coilovers/sways??? and can you better describe the popping sounds? is it really loud or small and subtle? it could also be that your wheels are getting air and the coilover is maxing out

Your coils are poping, its normal. Just take them apart and grease everything that needs to be lubricated.

It happens when I get in and out my drive way. When I am driving normally my suspension doesnt make noise at all. Yea it's a metal popping noise. Sounds like it's from my coilovers. Yea all the nuts should be in TQ spec. So how should I lubricate my coils? Thanks!

do you have solid TC arms? make sure they are the same length and the joint is at the right angle. thats where mine make the poping sound from. a little lith grease goes a long way

What coilovers are they?
If they're Stance, it could be faulty pillowball mounts.

Did you tighten the sway bar endlinks with the car on the ground, loaded? If not they could be binding. Redo them with the car on the ground, tighten until the bushings just begin to bulge and then stop.

Sounds like this was the problem. I always try to torque suspension parts with wheels on the ground.

Yes I do have solid TC rods. But I have never heard anything until now? I have pillow ball endlinks. Should I still redo them? My coilovers are megan street. And my car isnt slammed. The balljoints are in good shape. Because I swapped them out 6 months ago. I have never heard that noise before I got the strut and sways on. It's seriously like a metal "Popping" noise
It only happens when I go in and out my driveway sideway

Speaking from experience, but I've had "popping" issues as well whenever I would use adjustable suspension components. As much as people said it was normal, I did not like it, so I just upgraded to non-adjustable after market parts (I.e. DC strut bars, Godspeed sway bar, and ES poly-urethane bushings, AGXs etc.).

If in doubt, take off your swaybars for a while and see if you hear the noises again.

I had the popping/binding issue with my Stance GR+. IT was a loud springy popping sound everytime I turned a corner. It turned out to be the camber plates. The particular batch my set came from was not machined correctly. I called Stance and they sent me out a new set for free and the popping/binding went away.

Yea it's a loud springy popping sound :bash: And I haver replace, strut, sway, and front right camber plate. And the front right is the side that makes noises

coil binding? Does your coilover springs have thrust sheets or a rubber washer/seat above the perch?

Perch? The top pad?
