I fail to see where it says NRG QR anywhere in the comments, except for one guy merely stating an opinion on NRG.

he was using a 3 bolt wheel so its obiously not a NRG hub, probably a race hub.

i got a NRG slim qr, no complaints.

remember you get what you pay for....Works Bell FTW, quality at its finest, you should see all the research testing they go through then youll understand what your paying for, id rather not even have a slight thought of something like that happening while driving...

I love the internet its like a game of telephone. A guy watches a video and all of a sudden people are saying its an NRG QR. It doesnt even look like he has a street QR on that, its a race style that has can actually slip off it not locked in place properly which is probably what happened here.

Ahmed - check your facts next time.

That video was straight badass. Definately a good driver to stay that calm when it happened...and then got right back on the gas after, heh crazy [email protected]#ker. Roadracing is too addicting, you just want to keep going even when you have problems (like a steering wheel coming off).

Anyway, never had a problem w/ both my NRGs and I've been using them roadracing for 3 years now, not like just drive around on the street stuff lol. Also, never had any play, even after 3 years. Make sure all 12 bolts are tight (6 on each end) and that the center nut is tight (all common sense for most of you, and an FYI for the idiots).

Haha that video is at WGI. Right at the pinball section. Lucky he go that wheel back on, shit could have really got ugly, that is a very fast section of the track.

Yeah...

NRG "Innovations" seems to be pretty innovative :ugh:

Especially when they R&D (Replicate & Duplicate)

They seem to make it a habit to copy every new item that Works Bell Japan is ENGINEERING and INVENTING

But oh well what can you do

+1 we get this same thing happen with the high-performance engine internals we produce for dirtbikes. Gotta hate the fake R&D (stealing someone else's engineering and time and money). Sad fact of the biz.

Haha seriously

That's like in Herbie Fully Loaded where they used duct tape to seal up a oil pan leak and then she drove it up the side of the wall to take first place

Oh wait

I never watched that movie...yeah, never seen it....

I don't even like Lindsay Lohan....that much....yeah me neither

Tell your manufacturer to apply for US patent protection. Problem solved.

As someone that works for a company that develops and manufactures parts (rod/ truck scene), I can tell you that the patent and copyright process is not all it's cracked up to be. It costs a TON of money, and it's all too easy for another company to just change a few small details and hit the market.
On almost all of our custom designs, it's worked out better for us to trim our profit margins, suck it up, and sell our parts at a price that's low enough that other companies don't bother to copy them.
Granted, a lot of our parts are more for decoration, and don't require as much R&D as something mechanical...
But a lot of the parts I see for our cars just seem a little overpriced- it just leaves a lot of room for the knock-off guys to come in and undercut.
FWIW, I've only had my NRG QR for a little over a month, but I'm impressed with the quality so far- I don't see how it could fail on you unless the ring that holds the balls in place either broke or slid up on its own... just my $.02.
