When i get out of this place and get home i'm picking up a S13. Based off of my first 240 and some searching i've been trying to do over here, this is the list of the parts i'll most likely be buying for it for the first wave:
-Tanabe Concept G Blue Exhaust
-Turbo Elbow and Manifold Combo Off OptionImports
-Greddy FA Turbo Timer
-Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller
-Greddy Spec LS Front Mount
-HKS SSQV BOV & Hotpipe
-B&M Short Shifter
-TWM Type R Weighted Shift Knob
-Megan Racing Street Coilvers
-Circuit Sports Grounding Plate
-Nismo Thermostat
-K&N Filter
-Momo "Corse" 320mm Sterring Wheel
-Hub Adapter (Haven't picked one yet)
-Hopefully intake from Pizza-dude on here :boink:
Thats pretty much my upgrades list for now, not to mention all the usual maint. stuff, oil change, gear oil change, brakes, fuel filter, belt, etc. If the clutch is in bad shape I'll be going with a Spec Stage 2. And if I can afford it i'll be uprading to a Taurus electric fan, electric water pump and Nismo Motor Mounts.
Anyone have any suggestions as to things i may need in place or to supplement these parts? It's being built as a steet car, that may see some canyon runs here and there as well as the occasionally track duty. Thanks guys, you've helped alot.

before the flames come you may want to do more research before thinking about making a parts list. it seems you want to go turbo but i dont see a turbo or any sort of tuning software on your list. if you plan on turboing the KA, read up on builds being done by guys/girls on ka-t.org. my suggestion is to work on maintenance stuff for your car while learning more about it and take the dive once you have a better understanding of what youre getting yourself into, because as of now, it doesnt seem you do.

hhhhhhmmmmmmm, Yes i think you should do more research before you get:smash: . Plus what are we to compare your build to what are you expecting or wanting. None the less keep the 240's alive GL

Thanks for sharing, I guess.
I've found that it's better to just start with one thing and expand from there. When I first got my car I had a parts list like that, and now it's completely changed and I haven't looked at it in years.
It's best to just have an idea of how you want the car to be, never mind the names of the parts, just get an idea, then do your own research to see what is best.
Also, I noticed that you chose a turbo manifold and stuff, but no turbo. I would reckon that if you're going turbo, picking the turbo that suits your needs is more important than anything else.

"if possible, upgrading to an electric water pump?" wheres ur fuel pump upgrade. work on the basics to achieve a solid running car before you go into the gizmos

I'm sorry, i forgot to mention that i'll be buying a car that already has an SR swap, or if I get one with a KA, i'll be swapping an SR in... This was just a list of parts i'm thinking about to upgrade the ride a bit, it is where my plans are right now and just wanted opinions if anyone thought any of them un-nessicary or could spend money on better supporting mods. I'll be going through everything ensuring the car is in good shape and the motor is running strong, doing basic maintenance first, before i start buying all these parts.

if you swap an SR in or get the car with SR already. when you pull the engine, re-route your turbo coolant lines using an S14 water neck. get rid of the hard lines, you'll thank yourself later. circuit sports makes stainless braided lines, FRsport also has earls lines. get yourself a nismo tranny mount too. since you're changing you'll be crackign open the bell housing, i suggest changing the rear main seal. get yourself some rocker arm stoppers. resurface all grounding points.
some of this stuff is repeated from the SR FAQ, but i've been living by it and i've had no problems thus far.
i see power upgrades, but don't see any braking upgrades....tisk tisk.
before you put all your power doodads and $400 boost controller, tighten up the chassis with some stbs and sways.
i would look into bushing replacement before you buy a fancy smancy shifter knob and steering wheel. any S13 you find will be old and boogered, i'm sure all the rubber is shot.
whenever i've done a wave of upgrades, i've focused on the things that i will see immediate benefit from and things that will either drastically improve handling and braking FIRST.

Soooo, this is a build thread...but no build, and you don't even have the car?
What is the point of this?
If we had a "daydreamin" section, I would move it there.
If you are looking at things you should be doing, there are dozens of build threads already for you to take advice from.
Good luck with the build and please post pics of the build once it's...built.
And what's with the bold. It's kind of annoying.
