The non tension timing chain guide failed on the motor at start up. It was pulled with every intention of reinstallation, but I found a very good deal on an LS1 V8 to swap into the chassis. Before coming across the LS1 I installed a new timing set, oil pump, and water pump on the KA.

I am not sure if these are interference motors but I would assume there is the possibility of head damage because of the timing chain guide issue. I do not have a leak down gauge, but welcome any potential buyers to come buy and do the test themselves if interested in the complete motor or long block(have compressor here at home). The bottom end is sound and never smoked, knocked, or burned oil for the past 10000 miles over which is was my daily driver.

I would like to keep the motor whole, but as this is more than likely not going to happen so please just shoot me offers on ANYTHING you may need. Everything this is there and for sale. I am just North of Dallas if anyone is local and wants to come pick up parts.

Alternator, fan, and fan clutch have less than 8K on them.

timing cover, water pump, water neck, timing set, injectors, and AC compressor sold.

Everything else remains
