hey guys, today i picked up a water temp gauge to see what temp my car is really running at cause i think im having problems with the stock one. i was just wondering where the stock sending unit is for a sr so i could just switch it out and roll with it or if it would be better to tap it into the upper coolant line. i was trying to install it asap so help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

Depends what size the sensor uses

Sometimes the sensor is the super fat joint, rather than the universal NPT ones or whatever

I would suggest just buying adapter that goes in the upper radiator hose, assuming you had the proper thread for an adapter like that

i think i have to take the gauge back, i opened it up after i got to work, and i thought there was a regular wire that went from the back of the gauge to the sensor. instead there is a solid copper line wrapped in a spring type deal and i deff dont think its long enough so i have no clue what i would need to do to extend it so im gonna take the gauge back and see whats up with the autometer one. i should have just went ahead and got the autometer for 45 but instead i got a sunpro cluster with 3 gauges for like 37.....im going on to exchange it in like 45 mins, if anyone has any info or suggestions for me before then please let me know
